This is unreal. Happened about 70 miles North of me. Palouse Falls is a huge waterfall and the volume of water that goes over it immense.
It is 186 feet high and a straight vertical drop. I cannot believe a Kayaker went over it...but he did. Watch this incredible video of this new world record.

Absolutely incredible.
This guy will definitely push the limit further and further until he dies.
He will deny that but I bet he is already planning his “Next big thing”

Surface tension of the water wouldn’t be a concern but the bottom as well getting trapped in the rolling waters beneath the falls would.

Gutsy or crazy, he could at least pronounce the name correctly

Taking such a risk is considered a mortal sin in my church.
This stupid stunt kind of spoils visits to Palouse Falls for me.

Anybody remember the name of the sport where the folks would basically put on weights or stones and ride them to the depths in the ocean to see how far they could go? I think it was deep diving? I can’t believe it’s considered to be a real sport!
The “atheletes” did this without the use of scuba equiptment.
I remember seeing a few of the obits and everybody all bummed out and surprised all at the same time. With quotes like “He really lived life to the fullest.” or “He really had a lust for life.”
My son is ten and he thinks these people are morons.
