May not have reached terminal velocity, even though it’s quite small. Should have started off at 100,000 mph at the top of the atmosphere. Would have been slowed somewhat depending on the angle of incidence, but 30,000 might not be impossible.

I guess there is no more terminal velocity. Terminal velocity applies only to ballistically falling objects, not trans-orbital velocity objects.
