Wet Cat Photos Take Web by Storm

You haven't seen angry until you've seen a cat with his head under a faucet. If there's anything the stereotypically haughty house pets despise it's being wet. "I think it's the closest you can see in the animal world to someone giving you the finger," said veterinarian Marty Becker, co-author of "Why Do Cats Always Land on Their Feet?" "That look is unique in the animal world of total disgust. ... It's just a classic." And yet that look is taking the Internet by storm.

As feline photo blogs continue to draw millions of visitors each month, the wet cat sub-genre is taking on a life of its own. "They make such great drama, it's like watching daytime soap in a bucket," said Ben Huh, CEO of ICanHasCheezburger.com, one of the most popular cat photo blogs on the Internet. Each month, he said, about 3.6 million unique visitors check out his site for a daily dose of the feline funnies.

After bathing 2 kittens, my husband got the bright idea to blow-dry them....needless to say, he has the scars to prove what a great idea THAT was...

We gave our two cats a bath about two weeks ago. I still have some spots where the mother cat got my arm. She did NOT like the water. No way will I use a blow drier on them.

My cats hate the water-unless THEY want to play in the sink.

They hate the sink-unless THEY want to sleep in it.

I still haven’t figured out if my hubby was being really brave, or really stupid!

Our cats cannot stand the water. If they accidentally walk through some after a rain or when we water, they shake their paws to get it off.

The reason I don't try to dry them - especially with a hair drier - is that they cannot stand the noise of electric motors. Think leaf blowers.

No kiddin-the last thing I would EVER do is blow dry a cat!

But, my husband is not like most men-that’s why I married him @;)
...and of course, he claims they liked it, but the cats still don’t want to talk about it. (Although one of them does have a bathtub fetish and is afraid of hairbrushes...)

Our cats have a BAD habit of taking “dirt baths” in the garden and yard. I don’t care how much I do to keep them away from dirt, they WILL find if somewhere.

I tried to clean the little one with a brush on the vacuum cleaner - not a good idea either.

LOL! You could sell tickets to that!

We have one long haired cat that goes outside and we call him PigPen-like the character in the Peanuts cartoons; all summer he is surrounded by a cloud of dust and/or pollen that you can see whenever he moves. And his bushy tail is like a Swiffer-picks up everything!

I just took a slug/snail off of his belly a few minutes ago; it was just relaxing in a big furry pile on his tummy. YUK!

I have two cats, and my question is...why would anybody need to bathe a cat? They bathe themselves CONSTANTLY!!

LOL

I love the way do double back flips. If you can get the water on them; they will settle down with that evil eye look.

That’s a scream. Now, my dogs are really different. They will line up, not for baths; but to get vacummed. They love that.

Our cats are both outside cats, but we keep them inside at night because of coyotes. They both love the dirt and when they shake, they are like Pig Pen too.

We just had our long haired cat basically shaved for the summer. She was walking by me and flipped her tail against me. The single grass burr got my leg.

We have one we let out part of the day due to coyotes and fisher cats etc. He KNOWS he has to come in to get fed or he doesn’t eat. Who says you can’t train a cat?
We have 10 all together; we rescued most of them (one was just dropped off at night, thrown out of a car in February.)

Takes 3 dogs to keep them in line. But I have no children, so it all works out.

We’re surrounded by horses, sheep, goats and geese and needed some way to keep up with the neighbors. A family down the street just got 2 mini-horses and walks them with her dog.... Thought I was seeing things-a horse on a leash!

It’s never dull living in the country....
