My oh my, what would the critics, the Civil War publications, publishers, and bloggers do if it weren't for the bad boys of the Confederacy and those who study them and also those who wish to honor their ancestors who fought for the Confederacy?

End the U.S. Federal occupation...

You keep saying that...and yet here we are. Too lazy to actually go and do something about it? The South is going to rise again...someday...maybe...when we get around to it?

I worked night and day for twelve years to prevent the war, but I could not. The North was mad and blind, would not let us govern ourselves, and so the war came.

"Both parties deprecated war, but one of them would make war rather than let the nation survive, and the other would accept war rather than let it perish, and the war came." -- Abraham Lincoln

Your man went to war against an independent country without articles of war.

You declare war against other countries, not rebellious sections of your own.

That made it illegal, and therefore murder. Mass murder.

Mass murder? Like Vietnam was mass murder? Like both Gulf Wars were mass murder? Like the Korean War was mass murder? Is that what your definition is saying?

You'll pay for that someday, btw. Nobody down here has forgotten.

Apparently nobody with the gumption to do anyting about it remembers.

Bull. Not until the vote.

Then why was Virginia sending invitations to Davis to make Richmond or some other city in Virginia the confederate capitol weeks before "the vote"?

Link.

Bull. Not until the vote.

If that was true, then why was Brigadier M.L. Bonham reporting the arrival in Richmond of his brigade of South Carolina troops with orders to place them under Lee's command? On May 11, 1861? Before "the vote"?

Link.

Bull. Not until the vote.

Then why was Lee telling a General Gwynn that he could call on the governor of North Carolina for troops needed before "the vote"?

Not a constitutional issue. And not one I'm likely to support.

Considering how much crap you and your buddies have to dish out I'd say you're capacity in damned near unlimited.

Whether I am or I am not, the chances of my being able to do so is nill, because the odds of you lost causers ever getting up the gumption to secede again hover somewhere between zilch point shit and none.

Worm Tongue, are you putting the CSA in the category of the DPRK, NV, and IRAQ? If so justify that comparison.

I am sure the majority probably felt that same way in the late 1850's also.

Conflicts with another independent nation waged without articles of war. Which is what lentulusgracchus used to justify his "mean ol' Lincoln was a mass murder" nonsense.

Worm Tongue???

No it is not. I'd ask you to explain where the Constitution addresses it, but you're contempt for that document is only exceeded by your ignorance of it.

Nothing in the Constitution justifies the paying of reparations for anything. Nothing forbids it except for common sense, a rare commodity in the Democratic camp I know. And the Southron one as well.

My, my, my a Southron running to the protection of the hated 14th Amendment. Keep that up and they're going to drum you out of the club, boy.

And where does equal protection enter into it anyway? If you want to use the 14th Amendment you might be better off going to Section 4:...But neither the United States nor any State shall assume or pay any debt or obligation incurred in aid of insurrection or rebellion against the United States, or any claim for the loss or emancipation of any slave..." You might make a case there.
