Matthew Rolston for Rolling StoneUs Magazine Adam Lambert finally confirms his sexuality in the new issue of Rolling Stone (on stands tomorrow).
"I don't think it should be a surprise for anyone to hear that I'm gay," the American Idol runner-up says.

I am proud to say I have no idea who this thread is talking about.
“Sounded more hate filled to me and lacked any punchline at all”
The punchline was “Who cares?” The post was funny because of its irony. Making Adam out to be a dirty queer was the misdirection, “Who cares?” was the unexpected zinger. Textbook stuff.
“But then there are those who think a picture of watermelons on the White House lawn is funny too.”
That deosn’t sound like a very clever construction, no. The thing is, everyone says comedians are supposed to be edgy and upset convention, but that’s bogus. They are there to please as much as shock the audience. Every joke, or every run of jokes, must resolve itself into a culturally/politically correct message.
Since racism is the biggest contemporary no-no (aside from smoking), jokes that portray racism as a good thing after all don’t work for a majority of us. In this case, you’ll notice that the conclusion is a perfectly politically-correct: stay out of Adam’s bedroom.
For what it’s worth, non-white people are allowed to play on racial stereotypes to the satisfaction of their audience without ending with a racism-is-bad message. But that’s because our culture allows them to be racist, so nevermind.
Or maybe it wasn’t a joke at all, and those were two disconected thoughts. But I doubt it, given the obviously inflammatory language and exclaimation point.
Well I still haven’t recovered from Rock Hudson and now this!
You need to get out more and try not to think so much about graphic gay sex. BTW all activities you described go on between men and women daily. ANd you can describe them without sounding like some porn sheet,,unless of course you just like saying crude things.
With Jann Wener’s Rolling Stoned magazine covering American Idols these days, is it abundantly clear that they no longer know anything about Rock and Roll (if they ever did)?
What a weird post. I am surprised you feel that way.
haven’t read the rest of the comments but I have no idea who this person is. American idol?
Never seen a minute of it.
You lead a very empty life don’t you.../sarc.
I’m in a “queer” mood today, I guess.
I don't know if it can be said that Clay Aiken was more talented than Reuben Studdard. There wasn't nearly the speculation about Aiken being a homosexual as there was about Lambert.
But that a guy that was a Christian missionary beat out a flaming homosexual doesn't bother me in the least.
All I know about american idol is what i see on news websites.
BTW, the same goes for "Survivor".
I have managed to not see any of those episodes either.
FOX cancelled one of my favorite shows: Terminator-Sarah Connor Chronicles.
lol. The one thing that I read through the thread is that Adam was hounded about his sexuality from the rotten press. He would rather just sing. I hate the media!!!!!
I was definitely sarcastic in my post to you. I kinda wish I never watched Survivor or American Idol because now I can’t miss an episode. lol. Maybe my life is empty...lol. I find it to be the only show (American Idol) that the whole family can watch without nudity or cursing. Have a great day!!!!
That's what keeps me from watching as well -- sheep all apeing the most annoying trend in pop music history. Most people under 30 or even 35 probably have no idea what we're talking about -- urban yodeling is all they've ever known.
He definitely is more of a Broadway type singer but I do think he could tour with Queen and make a ton of money.
I don’t think he’s looking for the Congessional Medal of Honor for it. The guy is talented he wants to sing publicly. The press hounds him about his sexuality. Do you think he should lie? He says he doesn’t think it will come as surprise to anybody and he’s right. He didn’t bring up the subject the media did.
So that’s why he was photographed frenching all those dudes......he’s gay.....Oh okay.......
