Jackie Kennedy's half-brother, who has long lived a quiet existence in a sleepy Oregon suburb, was busted for harboring a sickening kiddie-porn habit, authorities said yesterday. James Auchincloss, 62, whose mother, Janet Bouvier, was also mom to Jackie O, saw his Ashland home searched after local detectives were tipped off. The search turned up booklets and slides of naked 7- to 16-year-old boys in sex poses -- some taken at Auchincloss' home -- according to a police affidavit for a warrant. Investigators believe Auchincloss may have committed felonies by "encouraging child sexual abuse," according to the Ashland Daily Tidings newspaper.

It seems that they have more than their share of it. Even those who seem relatively normal are arrogant idiots.

The search took place in October, but the paper only recently obtained the documents.

Computers and other electronic equipment were seized during the search and are still being analyzed at a lab.

Police said the matter remains "under investigation" while authorities await those lab reports.

Perhaps we can hope that the paper's "recently obtaining the documents" will spur the lab and move the investigation along after all these months.
