Man arrested for alleged Obama threat Published: June 7, 2009 at 9:48 AM
A 36-year-old man accused of threatening to kill President Barack Obama was arrested in the parking lot of a casino in Laughlin, Nev., authorities said.
Daniel James Murray was arrested Friday night for comments allegedly made last month at Zion First National Bank in St. George, Utah, Assistant U.S. Attorney Barbara Bearnson said.
While taking $12,000 in cash from his bank account, Murray allegedly told a teller, "We are on a mission to kill the president of the United States," federal court documents in Salt Lake City said.
Murray later returned to the bank, withdrew $72,000 more and closed his account, Bearnson said.
Murray, who did not resist arrest, has eight guns registered in his name and ties to New York, Texas, Utah, Nevada and California, The Las Vegas Sun reported Sunday.
Former neighbors in New York said Murray routinely wore a cape while out walking, which earned him the nickname "Cape Man," the Sun reported.

Eight guns? Why, immediate execution is too good for him! He should be tied to a chair and forced to listen to Jocelyn Elders speeches.
