Man arrested for alleged Obama threat Published: June 7, 2009 at 9:48 AM

A 36-year-old man accused of threatening to kill President Barack Obama was arrested in the parking lot of a casino in Laughlin, Nev., authorities said.

Daniel James Murray was arrested Friday night for comments allegedly made last month at Zion First National Bank in St. George, Utah, Assistant U.S. Attorney Barbara Bearnson said.

While taking $12,000 in cash from his bank account, Murray allegedly told a teller, "We are on a mission to kill the president of the United States," federal court documents in Salt Lake City said.

Murray later returned to the bank, withdrew $72,000 more and closed his account, Bearnson said.

Murray, who did not resist arrest, has eight guns registered in his name and ties to New York, Texas, Utah, Nevada and California, The Las Vegas Sun reported Sunday.

Former neighbors in New York said Murray routinely wore a cape while out walking, which earned him the nickname "Cape Man," the Sun reported.

Wearing a cape is alone grounds for immediate arrest in my book.

Heck, he sounds wealthy enough to own an entire costume, not just the cape.

They’re already posting all three names, so he must be guilty.

Oh, the terror of that!

I find it difficult to believe that a man would say this openly to anyone, much less to a teller at a bank as he was withdrawing money...85,000 dollars of it.

Guy sounds pretty well off.

I'd like to know more about the guys background and what more he actually is into (if anything) to account for him being made such a target.

Those neighbors are very clever with the nicknames.

There is no way that I would be associated with actually doing harm to someone unless it were in self-defense.

The only exception is that if everything goes to heck in a hand basket and law and order break down almost completely.

Even then it is real cold to actually take an action to harm someone physically.

Under present circumstances legal actions and civil disobedience and speaking out on the constitutional violations and the lies and deceit of the Kenyan are fair game.
