United States, May 21 – The Utah Department of Health warned consumers against eating queso fresco cheese made by one or more private individuals. The Mexican-style cheese has been linked to several cases of gastroenteritis caused by Salmonella Newport. The contaminated cheese is believed to be responsible for at least seven illnesses. Diarrhea cause by Salmonella will certainly make one lose weight.

Uhhhh, I don’t think this will be the “new” health food.

Unless, my personal observation of the culture that eats this cheese is somehow resistant to its slimming qualities.

LOL.....but, I do like cheese of all types.

Pregnant women are always told not to eat this cheese as it can contain listeria or something.

Beware of any homemade Mexican cheese, especially the soft varieties- when you hear of people getting sick and worse from eating cheese it is nearly always a soft variety of the Mexican cheese. Some make it in their bathtubs and under other unsanitary conditions. So unless it is comercially made or you really trust the maker be careful.

“Hispanic cheese is one of the fastest growing food categories in the United States. Production jumped about 183% percent from 1996 to 2008, according to U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Agricultural Statistics Service ( http://www.usda.gov/nass/ ).”

Well they are the FASTEST growing segment in the U.S. plus it allows the ILEGALS to feel at home.
