Testing the limit at which a Boeing 777's wings break from stress caused by turbulence or other factors.
(Boeing factory, Everett, WA. Jan 14th, 1995 )
Ping for viewing after work...
If it ain’t Boeing,
I ain’t going......
Airbus? You gotta be kidding me.
I would not get on one of those European deathtraps on a bet.
777, best plane in the world.
I have flown in 777’s a number of times. They are spacious, comfortable and I feel in safe in them. I am not setting foot in an Airbus again if I can help it.
Airbus just feels flimsy. I can tell even without looking at the airplane from the time it takes off.
Unfortunately, I have to go and it isn’t always Boeing.
One of the best, and earliest aviation disaster movies is "No Highway in the Sky"..based loosely on the fatal structural failures of the British Comet, the first commercial jet. Stars Jimmes Stewart..worth watching..and the scene at the end where the tail falls off..well, it looks very similar to the clip..who knew?
