Liddy dropped the ball here when he could have really nailed this guy. It is true that you can get a copy of your BC for the purposes Wolffe speaks of. But it is still not a Certificate of Live Birth which you can also get copies of. Which is what has been shown on the internet for 0bama. Which has been more than credibly disputed as a forgery itself.
So, 0bama's Birth Certificate has never been seen by the public and his Certificate of Live Birth is of highly doubtful authenticity and wouldn't be proof that he is a natural born citizen even if it were authentic.
So you will agree that neither McCain or Bobby Jindal are eligible for president?

You wouldn't call your fellow Freepers liars for saying they had to provide an actaul certified copy of the birth certificate, would you?
No, and I assume that the difference is that some states apparently offer a version of the birth certificate that doesn't include the parents' names, which is unacceptable, while other states don't offer a short form at all and only provide a copy of the long form.
BTW, the assertion that a valid certification exists and has been exhibited on the Internet is fiction. But we can understand your falling for the fiction since even at least one judge has made the same inane mistake because he wanted to believe the fiction.
I made no comment on the legitimacy of the Factcheck image as Obama's birth certificate. What i said was that my Illinois birth certificate, which looks much the same and contains the exact same information, was perfectly acceptable as identification to get a US passport in the state in which I now reside.

Thank you for the ping...interesting debate w/liddy and informative discussion on this thread. It appears the requirements for getting a passport is different depending on where one goes, or the people handing out the passports are confused about which BC’s are official. I know I’m a bit confused after reading the variety of experiences of Freepers!
I don’t think he was born in Kenya, I think he was born in Canada for the free health care. How else would a poor African student and an unemployed 18 year old afford a birth? Plus, she visited her friend in Seattle shortly after Obama was born. On the way home to Hawaii?
Hundred thousand dollars? He has at least 3 legal teams working on these cases. The judges are all spineless and corrupt so it is not that hard but i guess the legal bills are way over a million by now.

When I was four years old (1947), we moved to Germany. (Dad was military and we were there for the WWII reconstruction and Berlin Airlift) My sister, my mother, and I all shared one passport....with a pretty darn cute picture of the three of us....LOL. We came back to the States in 1953 on that same passport. When I applied for my first passport as an adult about 35 years ago, I had to supply my original, certified, stamped, Dr. signed, hospital verified “certification of birth facts”. This certificate even had my parent’s birth dates and places of birth on it. Also had to mail in my original post WWII passport. (It was returned to me later)
On the other hand, when we applied for my husband’s first passport (again, about 35 years ago) we didn’t have his original birth certificate. They accepted the copy from the hospital (not the state) with the little footprints on it!
Still don’t know how we got away with that.

The passport thing came up because the first passport BHO held was when he became a Senator. Prior to that, he travelled to Indonesia. How’d he do that without a US passport? Simple, he did it with an Indonesian one, or some other passport.
The question was how he came by those.
I would like to know when his US Passport was issued. IMHO it was right after election to senator and if he was in the company of the right people when he applied for a passport, I highly doubt any ID was asked for. I would go further to say that he never even went into the passport office personally.

More importantly there are NO hospital records of any type concerning his birth. And those records are public.
