A would-be gangster shot himself in the crutch when his gun went off half cocked in his pocket.
Lukas Neuhardt, 27, had forgotten to put the safety catch on when he stuffed the gun into his trouser pocket to impress pals in Saarbruecken, Germany.
He told paramedics that a masked mugger had blasted him in the crutch in a bungled robbery.

Now - after surgeons stitched his manhood back together - he's facing up to three years in jail for breaching Germany's tough new anti gun laws.

You’re probably talking about a .22LR 2-3 rounds at contact range behind the ear aimed up into the skull.
I know that. S&W autos don’t have an external safety either, but you almost never hear of one misfiring. Wonder why?
Regardless of whether they have a safety or not, Glocks misfire more often than weapons from other manufacturers - S&W, Taurus, Beretta, Sig-Sauer. Do only morons use Glocks? Not necessarily. I firmly believe there is a manufacturing defect in the weapons that contributes to a high rate of misfire.
I own several Glocks and they only fire when the trigger is pulled. A “misfire” would explain a gun shooting when it was sitting on a table. If it is in someone’s hand when it fired the trigger was pulled.
I disagree. The high number of accidental discharges experienced in Glocks (which you haven't refuted) compared to other manufacturers' weapons with and without external safeties indicate a design or manufacturing defect.
It's so "tacky bodice-ripper novel."
“I know that. S&W autos dont have an external safety either, but you almost never hear of one misfiring. Wonder why?”
I would think that someone knowledgeble about firarms wouldn’t incorrectly use the term “misfire” when they meant “accidental discharge”. Your level of hatred for an inanimate object leads me to suspect you may have had an accidental discharge with a glock and blame the gun. Its true that inexperienced operators or careless individuals will likely have more problems with Glocks than other types of guns. You wouldnt give a Ferrari to someone who just got their drivers license and you shouldn’t give a glock to someone who doesnt know how to handle firearms.
It sure appears to be blood spatters on it as well.
Ach! Mein schnitzengruben! Es ist kaputt!
His pistol was half-cocked...and because of that, so very nearly was he.
Most all accidental discharges are really negligent discharges. People lie when they do stupid things like firing a gun in the house or blowing their wiener off. They say the gun went “off” when they really pulled the trigger.
The only problems Glocks have are stupid people not keeping their booger hook off of the trigger. Revolvers have the same problem but only Glocks are slammed because of their popularity.
Gun safety is between the ears not a little metal switch.
Because thats the way it comes in the box.
I believe that "thews" may be making an appearance soon.
I read the headline and thought it was about Obama
That would assume Obama is a precision shooter.
Glock does make models with safeties for agencies that request it...
By the way, Joe, I’ve owned numerous Glocks over the years and they’re completely safe as long as you keep your finger off the trigger.

S & W’s have external safeties..
Some of them have decockers, but some have external safeties.

I haven’t heard of any “misfires” with Glocks. They go bang when you pull the trigger (which is what they are supposed to do). The biggest design flaw in the Glock is having to pull the trigger before disassembling. Other than that, they do the job they are designed to do. Regardless of make or model, shoving any loaded weapon into your pocket without a holster and the safety off is asking for trouble. Just ask Plaxico.....
