A would-be gangster shot himself in the crutch when his gun went off half cocked in his pocket.
Lukas Neuhardt, 27, had forgotten to put the safety catch on when he stuffed the gun into his trouser pocket to impress pals in Saarbruecken, Germany.
He told paramedics that a masked mugger had blasted him in the crutch in a bungled robbery.
--
Now - after surgeons stitched his manhood back together - he's facing up to three years in jail for breaching Germany's tough new anti gun laws.

In more ways than one. Ouch.
That depends which one was “cocked”

I once defended a client who shot-off one of his own testicles in a botched bank hold up. He was not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

“his gun went off half cocked in his pocket.”
OR
his half cocked gun went off in his cockpit.

I saw a show about about the calibers used in “hits” and that smaller ones were favored because less power meant that instead of going completely through the skull leaving an exit wound, the bullet tended to just ricochet around inside, thus pretty much guaranteeing death.
*shrug*
Dunno if it’s so but it seems logical....and very gory.

I’m pretty sure that’s a Beretta. The only thing in 9mm worth owning better sling lead at about 400 rounds per minute.

Where are you coming up with Glock? The story doesnt say anything about Glock, and the gun in the picture is a Beretta.

You can accomplish that same effect by choosing the type of projectile. Jacketed Pre-Fragmented or JPF ammunition is #12 birdshot in silicone surrounded by a frangible copper casing. They expend 100% of their kinetic energy within a few inches of impact and create LARGE cavities. A .357 Glaser creates a permanent cavity the size of a cantaloupe.
Very few wounds to the torso from JPF slugs are survivable.

I posted the picture from my own site. Odds are really good that a German guy with a pistol is carrying a Glock, agree? Glocks seem to misfire often. Maybe it’s just me but I seldom read about someone shooting themselves with a Taurus or S&W. It’s almost always a Glock.
