OK, how about this:

“Why is beer better than Barack Obama?”

“Because beer has a better head and won’t raise your taxes!”

The USA is a republic, that is, it has a form of government that is instituted by humans, for the good of humans, using human reason.

The USA is not a theocracy, that is, a form of goverment by people who have been chosen on the basis of their orthodoxy towards the reigning religion, for the purpose of advancing that religion, using interpretation of religious texts as the guide.

Any muslim naturally tends towards seeing government in the latter category, since in Islam there is not fundamental distinction between Religion and State. In Islam, there are no “secondary causes,” all is directly influenced by Allah, and that includes government.

So, to answer your question: a muslim president would be a danger to the republic.

It matters because it means he is a liar.

It matters for the same reason that people had to ask JFK whether he answered to the Pope or to the American people. In JFK's case, it was not a problem. 1. because he made it clear it was the American people, and 2, because at least Catholicism is not incompatible with the Judeo Christian principles this country was founded on. Those principles include the values of freedom, freedom of conscience and respect for diversity.

But in the case of Islam, there is no compatibility with those principles and the expressed intent of the religion is to bring all people under the banner of the authoritarian governmental style of Islam. In that order there is no personal freedom, no diversity.

We also weren’t at war with Catholic radicals who were kidnapping and killing in the name of the Vatican.

No terrorists seized the Vatican and coerced them to fund the expansion of violent Catholicism around the world.

The wahabbi muslims DID capture Mecca in the 1970s and the Saudis export wahabbism around the world funding the expansion of the Islamic empire in the West.

Mr. Liberal, I'd say...

1) Nixon, who claimed to be a Christian, lied. I'm a Republican, and I have to sadly acknowledge that he was a skilled liar. And the Democrats hate him even today.

2) Bill Clinton, who claimed to be a Christian, lied over and over. (And the Democrats still love him, even today, but that's a side issue.)

3) These men claimed to be faithful to a theological system that says it is wrong to lie, so we should be able to say that to be a lying President is possible, even when your own religious precepts are being violated.

4) So, it would be, to begin with, perfectly possible, that Barak Hussein Obama, claiming to be a Christian, could lie to America.

5) Let's go a step further...my Liberal Friends often go off against the fallen Televangelists we have seen in decades past, on how evil they must be to lie to those who follow them, and how wicked they must be to use other who believe in them to achieve their own goals. So, I can demonstrably prove that Liberals despise a leader who, in pursuing his religon, lies to those who follow him.

6) Now, accepting all this, change the equation: Islam holy Koran teaches that it is perfectly acceptable to lie to the Infidels, and "infidels" is defined as "anyone who isn't Muslim." If Barak Hussein Obama is a Muslim, then every word he has ever said, every promise he has ever made to the Left, every grand plan he has ever presented to the American people could be a lie...and he would be completely justified and honorable within his religion to do so.

7) So, if Barak Hussein Obama is a Muslim, and his religion teaches that it is moral to lie to you, and if everyone who isn't a Muslim (that's YOU) may be killed or enslaved in the name of Allah, and if women under Islam are no more than property...does it matter now if Barak is a Muslim?

Question:

Are Muslims permitted to lie?

Summary Answer:

Muslim scholars teach that Muslims should be truthful to each other.

There are two forms of lying to non-believers that are permitted under certain circumstances, taqiyya and kitman. One of those circumstances is to gain the trust of non-believers in order to draw out their vulnerability and defeat them.
