Hi there! strange to see you here Mr Strange’s son! -— but delighted!!!! you know me elsewhere by BettyDavisEyes & Ghost!
Welcome. This is a very talented group of men & women who love our country, troops, pets, kids, grandkids, flowers and beauty in general.
Morning Amy. With my program I COULD have reduced them to 5 KB each but chose not to. I was posting them here as a secondary sharing and the locations where I use them does not have any restrictions and my pix are normally way under sizes of most.
I can understand with the graphic intense thread the one or two people on dial up might have sluggishness. I did for MANY years when I visited the Finest, Pookies toons & the Dose. I would open a thread, walk Oliver & come back & the thread would still be loading... some graphics just never opened. I knew there was concern here but probably missed the NUMBER.
In future I will just post link if my work is over 100 KB - there is significant loss of quality for the forums/blogs I post my work at & when you invest in very expensive photography equipment & begin with a file of 91 MB, you actually are happy to get something decent at 200KB. I have found the various systems to post a series of pix (like Picasa) has been the best for sharing with interested family members & friends of outings. They then can grab whatever pix they want along the way & reduce it or write to me & I send them the original big file for printing.
I shoot pix in pretty high resolution as the newspapers REQUIRE huge files for printing..
Photography is a lot of fun & so is pix editing. I am not a photo shop queen that can trade heads or do cyber plastic surgery .. close ups of me are a disaster (wrinkles) so that is why you dont see them - HA).
I will be anxious to see the new photo programs that come with the iMac. I have Vista on my notebook & have been able to use both Picture It & the Fuji Film program that were my favorites at XP. Do most of my work there although my Dell tower is still powerful to do all the work. The notebook is just faster
I still haven’t learned all the techniques of layering with PhotoShop, which I have, and Picture it, although not as powerful, does much of the same.
Hope everyone has a great day! Lots on my agenda today.
lovely graphic.. now on my hard drive .. (smiley inserted)
When the popular band The Eagles prepares a new song for concert, they sit in a circle with acoustic guitars and unamplified voices and rehearse their intricate vocals. They call this exercise The Circle of Fear because there is no place to hide and no way to conceal any errors they might make in the harmonies. That sense of absolute exposure for their mistakes is what makes this drill so frightening to them.
Apart from Christ, we would suffer a far worse kind of exposure before the God of all justice. If we had no advocate and no escape, we would also have no hope. But in Christ, the believer has a Defender who stands before the Father on our behalf. First John 2:1 says, My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. With our failings exposed, He takes our defense. Our Defender carries our relationship with God beyond a circle of fear to a fellowship of grace and truth.
Our challenge is to live lives of purity and integrity that honor our heavenly Father. Yet, when we do fail, we do not need to fear abandonment or ridicule from our Father. We have an Advocate who will carry us through.
I liked it too, Dolly. I first found it here:

You can also find it on google under images (angel kiss). If you like the art, you might want to look at some of Sandra Kuck’s work:

I have the one titled “Little Guardian” in my dining room - it is very peaceful.

Thank God for His Amazing Grace!
My daughter puts out cat food for stray cats..I have seen skunks enjoy..Of course the raccoons enjoy it , too.
Lucky me has never seen of smelled a skunk here at my house.
This is very pretty, Meg! The working carousel is nice. I was hoping to post something before hair appt. but decided I better get ready first and see what time I have...LOL!
You are lucky there, since you feed the raccoons. Maybe skunks just aren’t around where you live. The only time I have ever smelled them is when I may be driving somewhere and see one smashed on the highway and you can smell it for a while when you’re driving along. Not a pleasant odor! lol!
How sweet that was....love “Welcome to my World”! Makes me think of Eddie Arnold!
Good morning, Megsie! This Carousel is beautiful, and beautifully framed! And you have mail. :)
” Welcome to My World” - love it, fewz.
Hi, Amy - I still love the expression of that little girl’s face! Am glad you used it today!
LOL..My original had plenty until I downsized it..We keep the byte size down here below 100,000 in consideration of those on dial up..
Well, if it reminded you of Eddie before you need to check it out again.
