The Republican Party should start considering actually supporting (and urging) former Vice President Cheney to run for president in 2012
So far, Cheney is the only major Republican leader who has seemed eager or interested in taking on a popular Democratic president.
Like it or not, popular or not, the Republicans need someone who is willing to fight.
True, Cheney will be in his early 70s in 2012 and has a history of heart problems, but that is no older than Dole in 96 or McCain in 08.
The Republicans could do a lot worse than electing Cheney in 2012 with a young conservative as his Vice President ready to run at the head of a ticket in 2016.
Cheney is no Reagan
I love the look on Dick Cheney’s face in this picture. The first time I saw this posted, the caption was something like, “I’m watching you”. Did you post that? It was excellent!
Nobody is Reagan but Reagan.
Im watching you. Did you post that? It was excellent!
I don’t know - I post it every time I see Cheney’s name mentioned...I also try to make sure there is always a Dick in Obama’s face...
Hahahahaha...the Man...
The Obama crap will be deep after 4 yrs. Cheney would be great and would not stand a chance against Obama without his teleprompter.
He would not stand a chance with his teleprompter
What about Petraeus-Palin?
That’s a Ticket I could get behind.
bttt
“I wrote in Cheney in 2008.”
Obama thanks you.
The vote wasn’t going to matter much in Mass.
Dick’s a great guy, but he’s damaged goods politically. He’ll always be associated with the Bush years, and he has serious health issues.
My money’s on Palin. Most engaging politician to come down the pipe in a good while. Pair her with someone who’s hawkish on borders, and I think we have a winner.
Well, and both of those worked out so well for us.
Look, I love Cheney, but that window of opportunity has closed.
But it's Cheney's turn!
“I would support Cheney, though disagree on one issue....as he serves me very well on all other issues.”
So he disagreed with all the non-conservative decisions made by Bush? He’s never said so.
