And, it's only a hypothesis, but I wager that "roid rage" accounts for at least some of the police brutality claims that are seen from time to time.
Hm, seems like a clear case of assault to me.
Does it seem like the government’s enforcers (police) are acting a little more... aggressively, this year?
What, if any, is the link to politics and who is in office?
The most likely outcome is they’ll arrest the kid for making the video tape.
Apparently this was a traffic stop. They pulled over the ambulance, that was on an emergency run with a patient in the back because it did not yield to the police cars on a call. I don’t know which law supersedes, but to pull over an EMT on a something like this... That EMT might be clearing your airway tomorrow after the Cop has a traffic accident or worse gets shot or something. It sure seems that the traffic stop was unnecessary. What happened to the call the Trooper was going on that was so important? I just don’t get why we empower government employees to be thuggish and brutal. The next story at the site was that the Tulsa Police were planning one of those huge traffic blitzes to calm down bad drivers. “Warning books put in the trunk” and drivers license checkpoints. Why do “you people” want this? Policeman per 1000 in this country is 2.77.

Why do “you people” want an aggressive and armed government monitoring your activities? I don’t understand. You have to be a physical coward to demand the government provide you with a zero risk environment.
Let me get this straight, the trooper was in such a hurry to get to his call that he had to STOP the ambulance and harass the paramedics for not yielding?
Does anyone besides me see the failure in logic in this?
Lets go to the Law.Which has the "right of way"
between an ambulance with lights on and OKHP with lights on ?Clearly someone broke the law.
I'll bet the "life saving" ambulance has the "right of way"
Perhaps I'm wrong.
Remember the guy in California that was kicked in the head while laying on the ground about a week or so ago? Turns out he DID have a gun and the cop saw it. If you watch the film closely you can see his hand go underneath his body while the officer was trying to handcuff him. The copter cam couldn't see what the officer saw. This was on the cop channel last night. How many other outlets carried it? You are left with the image of a cop kicking a guy while on the ground and the investigation is just forgotten about.
We have no idea what happened here except what the filmer wanted you to see.
Since when is wrapping your hands around someone’s neck a proper restraint technique? I don’t give a flip how beligerent this guy was or wasn’t off camera. Too many cops seem to be former jocks who never amounted to much and go around with a chip on their shoulders and macho complex, looking for the slightest sign of personal disrespect.
Am I the only one who watched the whole video? Didn’t anybody else see that the EMT shoved the LEO first, and that’s what ratcheted up the confrontation?
I don’t care who you are, you don’t shove an LEO when he’s writing, lecturing, or otherwise trying to get your attention.
Thank God that the patient was not in a life-threatening situation and that she was treated and released.
From just reading this piece (haven’t seen the video...just the picture above) I think I’d side with the paramedic.
The YouTube age is proving to be hard times for JBTs everywhere.
