For the most part right. But also contains standard anti-protestant stuff from an orthodox. He does preface his anti-protestant comments with “for the most part” at least.

"The Russian owners of American companies and industries should look thoughtfully at this
and the option of closing their facilities down and fleeing the land of the Red as fast as possible.
In other words, divest while there is still value left.
The proud American will go down into his slavery with out a fight,
beating his chest and proclaiming to the world, how free he really is.
The world will only snicker."

Must read? Why? When the author knows the difference between “than” and “then” let me know.

IIRC, wasn’t it the Russians who planned to bring this to our country in the 60’s according to the russian defector who was interviewed in 1985? I have seen the interview posted here from youtube several times.
You would think they would be bragging about it by now.

First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather then the classics.I may be dumbed down by a substandard education system, but I know the difference between "then" and "than"...

Don't think for a minute, though, that Pravda reprints this with good intentions.
Russia would love to be the standard-bearer of the world's functioning economic system.
It never was about ideology, except to a few. For the educated, it was only about national/ethnic power struggle, same as it has been for thousands of years.
The "ideology" stuff was only ever there to confuse & disorient.
To: Westbrook
Look particularly at the last 2 paragraphs: “divest from America”
This is an anti-American piece. With a new twist.

” The “ideology” stuff was only ever there to confuse & disorient. “
O’brien makes that point in “1984”. It’s all about power, and all the stuff about country, loyalty, justice is just a thin shell over the lust for control and power. Think of the future as a boot...

Who would have thought that Pravda would be the place to get the true facts on what is happening in the USA?
What a bizarre world we live in!

The proud American will go down into his slavery with out a fight, beating his chest and proclaiming to the world, how free he really is. The world will only snicker. This has been the general trend since the New Deal - halted briefly (but in no way reversed) by Reagan's election in 1980. Americans' perception of their own level of freedom exceeds the reality by a great deal.
