this looks pretty interesting catch the vid...
its about a family of hippies and environmental freaks..
they adopted an african kid but could only get a white south african and tell everybody ....they tried to get a black kid...
this show looks pretty funny and i look forward to it
Sounds funny. I loved "King of the Hill" and "Office Space." This reminds me of the Simpson's exchange-student episode. The kid who stayed with the Simpson's turned out to be an Albanian spy.
Beavis & Butthead is still the greatest — EVER.
Huh huh huh huh....cool!
Gee, I don’t know about this one. Mike Judge may finally have flushed one down the crapper. I live in Massghanistan outside Harvard (the town, not the University). The place is crawling with vegan, prius owning, bicycle riding, nutbags. Life here is a living hell having to put up with these people. I want to smash them like bugs on the windscreen of my SUV, but unfortunately, I have religious qualms about killing anyone including the atheists who live in town. By the way a person from the Netherlands once told me she thought Harvard is a strange name for a university because it Dutch that means the land of whores.
Funniest line on “Office Space”, “you can’t die now Obama is president”...
I remember a great line from SNL in the 70’s. A “Beach Blanket” type movie satire where one of the kids yells, “We’re living off our parents until it becomes hip to reject them”. Heh, heh.
But, then, just about ANYTHING is funnier than the Daily Show.
Office Space is a decade old, how could they have that line in there?
I think you’re confusing Office Space with The Office. Office Space is a movie, The Office is a TV show.
I don’t think this will fly, for the simple reason that as much as they might want to make it caricature, it isn’t. There is no comic pathos, because they are earnestly pathetic. People like this are a pestilence to society. They suck the music out of a room.
In Beavis and Butthead, Mike Judge introduced the hippie teacher, David Van Driessen. However, he remained a two-dimensional character, who would often just introduce his typical left wing notions, only to be caught up in some disaster not of his own making. He was the humor of somebody else falling into an open manhole.
But had he *not* fallen into that open manhole, he would have been profoundly annoying, because everything he could have said, has already been said by others of his kind. His smarmy, know it all efforts to control all situations by blathering everyone else into submission, instantly annoy normal people.
He is the mandatory drug abuse counselor forced on non-drug users, the mandatory race relations counselor forced on non-racists, the mandatory sexual harassment counselor forced on people who do not sexually harass. In other words, he is somebody everybody else *likes* to see fall into a manhole.
He spends his time pestering other people about how he thinks they should live their lives. How they should only drive a small, unsafe car, use mercury light bulbs that give headaches; use low water toilets that don’t flush, and shower heads that don’t clean; use “green” cleaners that don’t clean either. He protests someone smoking tobacco a block away, and tells parents they are bad parents for allowing their children to play outdoors.
People like this are not funny. They are a nuisance.
I attended Harvard. The Dutch translation is perfect in every sense of the word.
I’m sooo watching this! There’s so much potential for rubbing it in the face of the libs. “King of the Hill” gets its nice little jabs at libs once in a while.
The first episode airs May 27th and the description reads:
“Helen is horrified when Bliss joins an abstinence club.”
LOL! The Palin’s influence continues....
You are right! I am not familiar with “Office Space” my BAD.
Thanks for the Heads-Up.
agreed...although i don’t know where judge stands...since king of the hill has taken shots at libs...but idiocracy is anti-corporate and makes fun of fox news...
i think mike judge is an entertainer first more than a political ideologue...and thats how entertainers should act...
liberals are pretty easy to make fun of...but nobody has the guts to do it ...but nobody is messing with judge since he’s paved his own lane..
anybody remember that beavis and butthead liberal teacher??
You’re right! A true conservative would never make fun of gigantic, heartless corporations or the all-holy Fox News. Thanks for the heads-up!
“The place is crawling with vegan, prius owning, bicycle riding, nutbags.”
Just don’t attempt to do that in Minnesota. Running into one of those vegan bike riders would be friendly fire...
“Youre right! A true conservative would never make fun of gigantic, heartless corporations or the all-holy Fox News. Thanks for the heads-up!”
lol....
relax i’m just trying to read the guys intentions through his works...i loved idiocracy by the way
but judge does it right ...where you can’t pin down their biases...at least when it comes to the entertainment business...no need to alienate half your potential fanbase
KOTH is a pretty balanced show...but leans a bit to the right. Even with Kathy Nadijmy (bad spelling) as a star, and she is a flaming liberal, it is a decent show.
