Drinking large amounts of cola every day can cause muscle problems, an irregular heartbeat and even paralysis, doctors have warned.
Chronic consumption of the drink can cause a condition called hypokalaemia, in which levels of potassium in the blood fall, in some patients. Symptoms can range from mild weakness and constipation to paralysis.
Researchers said that family doctors should look out for muscle problems in people who drink large amounts of cola, after finding that patients who drank between two and 10 litres a day developed the condition.

Thanks - 5 hours seems more realistic.
I weaned myself off of sugar years ago...it gives me a huge sugar rush then all I want to do is sleep. Once you get used to not having it, it’s not so bad. I actually get nauseated if I even get around something that smells really sweet, like Crispy Creme donuts. Also weaned myself off of salt...don’t miss it a bit.

WOW!”
No kidding!! I’d have trouble drinking 2 in one day, how do they drink 10 without getting drinker’s elbow?
Time for the demon soda to be taxed to high heaven./s/
I was wondering why all these people around me were suddenly paralyzed! It was because they drink demon coke! And I hear it is bad for anyone who gets near the one drinking the demon coke!
I might actually drink a 2 liter of Coke per day. I don't count my cans. The rest of you are safe. This is only possible because I have no life...
That’s good to hear - my daughter and I start the elimination diet tomorrow, in an attempt to determine if either of us have food allergies. Sugar, wheat, gluten, cola!!!, processed food, etc, all get eliminated. Some permanently, others just long enough to test for allergies.
Uh, oh. I thought it was “Eat Mentos while drinking Coke.”

Who the heck can drink 10 liters of anything a day?
Ten Liters maybe. Two possibly if a small framed persons turned one up and chugged it down in a very short period of time. Water could do the same so where’s the warning? The rest sounds like more UK junk science.
