What's up with not being able to log onto World Net Daily?

I just tried to get on World Net Daily and what I get is the following message.
Host 'ch-ny-wnd-app1' is blocked because of many connection errors; unblock with 'mysqladmin flush-hosts'
Don't really want to go to the site they recommend to unblock. This is first time I've had this happen.
Is this the beginning of the Feds interfering with the internet or just a tech problem?
Anyone else having this problem?
Thanks for any feedback.

Either they are updating their site, or WND needs to adjust their html.

Looks like a bunch of connections are open to the database, keeping the front end from delivering anything but the connection error message. Could be a denial of service attack, or the cat may have fallen asleep on the keyboard.

Same here. It’s the first time I’ve seen this type of message.

Either they are updating their site, or WND needs to adjust their html. I hope you are right. I would think Drudge would be the target of the Feds if they were gonna do something like shut down a site since they came out the other day and warned people to not log onto Drudge. I guess time will tell.

“We should get used to this, Im thinking.”
God, I thought the same thing. I used to tease one of my friends about being a conspiracy theorist, I think I’m headed that direction.

Looks like it has a “mysql” error code and it needs to be adjusted.

This isn’t the time to bring this up, I realize, since it’s taking so long to end our FReepathon. (I did do my small part, even though I’m between jobs.) But this kind of stuff makes me wonder if Free Republic should (if it hasn’t already) built up enough technical redundancy for when they come after US!!!!

The number of interrupted connect requests allowed is determined by the value of the max_connect_errors system variable. After max_connect_errors failed requests, mysqld assumes that something is wrong (for example, that someone is trying to break in), and blocks the host from further connections until you execute a mysqladmin flush-hosts command or issue a FLUSH HOSTS statement. See Section 5.1.3, Server System Variables.
