Our favorite lunch place has something called BLTA. The A being avocado. Not sure where that came from but it is delicious.
The only problem I have with bacon is that while it is yummy, it’s also sooooo salty.

Anecdotal Bacon Story:
I have a brother who is 80 years old, and apart from some osteo-arthritis, in excellent health.
Every day of the week, except Friday (old school Catholic) throughout his entire adult life, he has cooked one quarter pound of bacon for breakfast, accompanied by toast with real butter and three eggs basted in the bacon grease.
Our sainted grandmother did the same thing, and it eventually killed her - at age 97.

I had a BLT on toasted wheat for lunch about an hour ago. It was deee-lish.
And a healthy lunch it was, too.
Except maybe for the mayo.
