Accused "Craigslist Robber" Arrested

Oakland police say DNA evidence has led to an arrest of a suspect they had dubbed the "Craigslist robber."

Thirty-four-year-old Damien Bell is being held without bail after police say his DNA was recovered from a watch he lost in a scuffle with one of his alleged victims.

Bell has been charged with two counts of armed robbery in connection with two incidents in Oakland where people were lured to a location by what turned out to be a bogus car ad placed on Craigslist.

Investigators say he is also considered the prime suspect in several other similar robberies in Oakland, Piedmont and Orinda between early April and May 5.

Because Bell has two prior robbery convictions, authorities say if he's convicted he could be sentenced to a life sentence under the state's Three Strikes Law.

Craig's List is the perfect example of liberal thinking.

Try to sell a gun on Craig's List; impossible because it's evil and dangerous.

Sell services that are high risk for HIV and Hepatitis, that's OK. Liberals love to talk about the dangers of guns, so called “assault rifles” (anything that goes boom) but seldom see any threat or danger when it comes to advocating, endorsing and even selling high risk behavior may that be in schools, the media, or even on Craig's List. I wonder how many hundreds if not thousands of people contracted various VDs to include incurable ones while shopping on Craigs List. That of course is OK, a protected freedom under the first amendment (But they'll ignore the second which doesn't count) but those eeeeeeeevil guns, those innate objects of steel and wood, those are dangerous mind control devices that take over my free will when I put them in my hands.

Partial list of items for sale and services the advertisement of which is not permitted on craigslist:

Weapons and related items, including but not limited to firearms, disguised, undetectable or switchblade knives, martial arts weapons, scopes, silencers, ammunition, ammunition magazines, BB guns, tear gas or stun guns.

No BB guns you hear?!?!?!?!?!?!
