My biggest problem with Palin is the fact that she let the media manipulate her! Palin needs to be able to speak past the press like Reagan could if she stands a snowball's chance... She should have had Charles Gibson uncomfortable and Katie Curic, those interviews should have been done in 20 dgr below whith Curic and Gibson shivering their *sses off.. We also need to face the fact that Obama is popular. We can not run against him in a beauty pageant...Palin also needs to be quicker on her feet during debates.

Well, considering that the McCain campaign and the backstabbing staff he imposed upon her pretty much made all of her decisions for her, at least until the last week of the campaign, I'd say that she had NO choice about who interviewed her and the venue.

Your biggest problem with Palin is the fact that she let the media manipulate her, mine is the way she was trying to finesse her brat’s forthcoming brat soon after McBane selected her. I’d have preferred, right from the start, “And this is my little daughter Bristol, she’s named after a NASCAR track, and she’s pregnant.”

Sarah learned a lot being the VP nominee. She is street smart and a lot more street smart after the campaign. This is why she is such a big threat. She kept McCain in the game and the Left knows she is a big time threat to Obama.

Palin needs to be able to speak past the press like Reagan

She needs to appeal directly to the people as Reagan did. The press is one reason, but the other is that the GOP elites don't like her, which was also the case with Reagan.

OK...point taken but you also have to realize at the time,Sarah was a babe in the woods and easy pickins for these vultures.
She's had her baptism by fire and it's done nothing but make her stronger, like forging a double-edged sword.
Look out,status-quo Washington...You're in for a rude awakening.

I don’t believe she allowed the media to manipulate her. I believe she was trying to walk the tight rope between not overshadowing her running mate who was at the TOP of the ticket and staying on HIS message. She was not representing herself, she was representing McCain. She couldn’t speak entirely in her own voice because she was trying to get him elected.

Sarah will be FREE to do/say whatever SHE wants next time around. And you betcha she’s going to unleash her own powerful message whether the media or RINO’s like it or not.

My biggest problem with Palin is the fact that she let the media manipulate her! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.. The issues you raise are "packaging" issues.

If she runs , and is funded, you can bet that she will also elevate the standards of the Republicans who step forward into the contest. Petraeus maybe, for example.

We are runnung out of time wool gatherinng about style issues, not a good thing.

We need solid grass roots because we do not have the MSM, and will not get that.Organizing grass roots takes time and right now we have time, but we will not much longer. You can ait for perfection, but we should be going with what we have, The alternative is unthinkable.
