Hey, Janeane Garofalo, how do you like your tea?
It’s been a few weeks since the outspoken comedian and actress (“24”) called tea party tax protesters racists, but she is still in hot water with some Bay Staters.
A group of steamed citizens led by conservative radio talk host Ken Pittman of New Bedford’s WBSM-AM plan to protest outside her gig tonight at the Somerville Theatre.
“She has exposed herself as a bigot,” Pittman said.
About 20 to 40 people are expected to show up, he said.
Garofalo sparked controversy when she criticized the protesters while on MSNBC’s “Countdown with Keith Olbermann.”
“You know, there’s nothing more interesting than seeing a bunch of racists become confused and angry. . . . This is about hating a black man in the White House,” she said.
Garofalo, in town to perform in the Alternative Comedy Festival, declined the Herald’s request for an interview.
“She doesn’t really want to talk about that at all,” said Brian Joyce, director of the festival. “She is coming to Somerville to play a comedy festival, not talk politics.”
Pittman said, “I’m not going violate her act or inhibit her ability to earn a living. This is purely satirical, and anyone who is not coming with a sense of humor should not bother coming.”
Her role on “24” is awful.
Isn’t it though? What’s the point? She stares like a dead fish and has added NOTHING to the show. Thank God she is not going to be back next season. Who needs her? Chloe on the other hand trumps barfalo up one side and down the other.

It’s cute that there are people who still think she’s funny.
She also played the Medieval wench in The Cable Guy. I think she played herself. Awful.
Yes, they took the things people liked about her (though I didn’t) which were her smartass smugness and sarcasm and replaced it with neurosis when dealing with bosses and nastiness when dealing with subordinates and peers. Man she has created an unlikable character. Somehow when it was Edgar doing the same thing, he seemed likeable. When it’s Garafalo it doesnt work.

The left believes we Americans should be more friendly to the world so they will like us, yet when the world sees how the left destroys the lives of American conservatives, I bet they call them hypocrites
...we've discussed this before, the limbic brain inside a right-winger or Republican or conservative or your average white power activist, the limbic brain is much larger in their head space than in a reasonable person, and it's pushing against the frontal lobe. So their synapses are misfiring.

She seems to have adopted the persona of showing she is a "real big-time team player" to brown nose the powers that be in liberal La-La Land.

She IS an unlikeable character. Angry inside...just like the rest of the lib/dem/lefties...they cant’ help it. It’s who they are. Sad for them, huh? Have a good weekend and... BE HAPPY!!! :)
