In a way, I'm torn here.

After enduring 4 Super Bowl losses , if it takes an ol' Packer out seeking 'revenge' to get the Vikes over the top.. so be it.

Judging by how he played at the end of last season, the Packers have nothing to worry about.

Revenge for what? They treated him honorably.

Count me as someone who doesn’t want to see Favre tarnish his legacy further. It’s sad to see someone who doesn’t know when to walk away.

Brett wasn’t kicked out - he retired! The Pack gave him lots of time and space, but they needed a decision in order to start their plans for the season. He gave them the decision!

I hope he DOES go with the Vikings. I would love for the Pack to beat them with him at the helm.

the packers did not kick him to the curb. he flirted with retirement for 3 straight seasons and finally the GM said, "ENOUGH! we have to move on!"

favre's ego did this. pure and simple.

I think Madden retired simply because he wasn’t going to be able to say, “BRETFAAAHRVE” anymore.

This article, among others, is what other people say about Favre. Maybe thay're the ones with an ax to grind?
I'll withold my comments until after I see what Favre himself has to say about it all.

What a shallow individual is Brett Favre. With the money he has made and the great career he formed, it is inconceivable to me that he has nothing more important in his life than football...sad.

There is nothing wrong with hiring a gunslinger to clean up.

Isn’t it time for Brett Favre to fade away? It seems to me that he had a long and successful career and was treated pretty well by management and media. Revenge? For what, for getting older, for playing past his athletic prime? Come on, Brett Favre, there is life after football, provided you have anything at all to bring to the table. :)

If he came back, he would win the two games against the Packers and lose the other 14 (just not interested). Go for it Vikes!

Everyone thinks how great it is to be a world class athlete but the tough thing is you are treated like a “god” and you start believing you are.

Brett can’t get out of the limelight. He needs to stop watching Rocky movies.

Here’s why Favre is returning. The all-time NFL leader in starts is a Minnesota lineman who started 271 consecutive games. I think Favre wants that record. Any beef with Green Bay is just WWE soap opera stuff.
