Owner Of Pit Bull That Attacked Girl Facing New Charges 'Princess' Accused Of Attacking Child, Chasing Neighbor

HOMESTEAD, Pa. -- The owner of a pit bull named Princess is facing new charges after her dog -- which mauled a 7-year-old girl in March -- reportedly went after a neighbor last week.
Charges of not having a license for the dog, allowing the dog to get loose and not getting an updated rabies shot for the dog were filed against Kelly Gasch at the district judge's office in Munhall on Tuesday morning, WTAE Channel 4's Marcie Cipriani reported.
John Yakim, of Homestead, told WTAE Channel 4 Action News that he was walking out the back door of an adjoining home on Friday when Princess and another one of Gasch's pit bulls charged him.
Yakim was able to get inside the house before the dogs got to him, but he said the animals were not controlled.
In the original case, which is still pending, Jenna Dunn said she needed 40 stitches after she tried to pet Princess while visiting the dog's new litter of puppies at Gasch's home on 17th Avenue.
Gasch awaits an April 29 hearing on multiple dog law violations in the Dunn case. The new charges will likely be rolled into the old charges on the day of that hearing, Cipriani reported.
Also at that time, there will likely be a discussion of whether Princess should be considered a dangerous dog and put down.

As for the second story... sorry, both dogs need to be put down. Also, it sounds like the owner ain't the greatest either.

Good! Go after irresponsible dog owners and this person is obviously an irresponsible dog owner...no shots, no control or confinement and allowing someone to approach a bitch with her puppies. She needs to pay a stiff price for her negligence.
I feel bad for the dogs. My sis has two pitbulls. I thought she was nuts until meeting the dogs...big wet puddles of love...these dogs sit in your lap and are very affectionate. It’s all how you raise and love your dog.
The owner doesn’t deserve to own a dog. He should be prosecuted.
It isn’t that pit bulls aren’t friendly, it is that they have a Jeckyl and Hyde personality that can switch on a dime.
Wow, I certainly hope they never switch at my sis’s house. She never lets them get out and has a fence and a beware of dog sign.

A dog ‘charging’ anyone is a huge red flag. The owner had better take her animals in hand or put them down.

Another loving, family pet (”mother”), protecting her young against an evil, human little girl, then defending her reputation against an evil “male” neighbor. It’s a feminist/pit bull worshiper thing.
You have a point. I was unaware that even ‘good’ pit bulls can snap...I have warned my sis, but she doesn’t think it’s true.
