Far more likely that those interpersonal character traits that lead to a man becoming wealthy, are also in play when he is having sex with a woman.

I agree. I don't think it is necssarily the wealth, per se, but rather the abilities that generate wealth also generate, well, the topic under discussion.

Wealth probably also does:

Give the woman security for her and her offspring, permitting her to be more comfortable, as is necessary;

Provide evidence of a desireable mate, causing her to be more enthusiastic.

Some additional factors that could explain the study's results:

-Women with wealthier males partners have sex more often since they are motivated to keep him satisfied, and practice makes perfect for both partners.

-Men who are attractive and confident often have better professional success. They also happen to be more arousing to women.

-This study took place in China, and the wealthy in that country may tend to be urban and more Westernized. As such, they may be more romantic and affectionate than their poorer, rural-dwelling countrymen and thus more likely to emotionally satisfy their women.
