I think . . . some things get lost in the translation due to the cultural differences.
The . . . mindset of the locals of the author Sun Tzu
is MUCH MORE geared to application automatically because of their culture.
Anti-authoritarian Western mind-sets are not quite in that ball park.
ORDER and PROPER STATION IN LIFE are still deeply endemic values.
Also, the oriental is typically greatly better at patiently waiting for opportune moments for a lot of things.
One idiom horribly declares that waiting 10 years for vengeance is nothing. Many could wait 50 or 70 or 90 years for vengeance and feel quite smugly justified and superior for doing so—repeatedly savoring in their minds the eventual action to be taken.
Sometimes, I think that’s one of the reasons for so much suffering there.
God says: VENGEANCE IS MINE, says The Lord.
Anyway, Sun Tzu is certainly a classic and a fairly brilliant one. Westerners are crazy if they think they can
OUT SUN TZU ANY orientals.
They’ll do good to hold their on in such games. Very good if they do merely that.
Still, Sun Tzu's wisdom should be followed.... failure to prepare is preparing for failure

This is similar to a statement Obama made when he was sworn into office - our security is rooted in the justness of our cause. In fact, our security has nothing much to do with the justness of our cause.
Plenty of just people have suffered wholesale damage and destruction in the past. They were no more secure because of their just cause.
Similarly, plenty of people have had faith in God and suffered wholesale damage and destruction. They depended on God, and lost.
I'm just sayin'.

I completely agree. Do the names "Evil Party" and "Stupid Party" ring a bell? If not they should. Most conservatives are so naive they think playing by Marquess of Queensbury rules will defeat an opponent whose mantra is "by any means necessary" and all that implies. If you don't totally understand your enemy you will be vanquished.
Conservatives' biggest mistake over the past 70 years has been a failure to truly understand the implacable evil challenge we face. You can't "shape" your enemy unless you have an absolute knowledge of his mind.

My first thought on the weakness of the enemy: The left have attacked the weakest in our society by taking over the curriculum in the schools and attacking the minds of children. These children have now grown into voters, many of whom now think with a leftist mindset. A simple example is how the global warming scare was forced into the schools around the world with the showing of AlGore’s movie. The children are frightened, and bring their fears home to mom and dad who ignorantly “feel” “something must be done about this!” Most of these kids are still quite young. What happens when they hit the voting booth? How are they indoctrinating in the telling of the founding of our nation? There was a caller to Rush’s show the other day, a former leftist, who made the point of the right having to take back the curriculum in the schools. I think he is right.
If that’s an honor, we’re in bigger trouble than I thought. ;’) ;’) ;’)

Excellent tactics. It is time to get very tactical. Many of us with such military and other training will come in very handy. The libs have no such background. They are pure emotion and no analytics. Let’s go get em. They are puny compared to our collective mental prowess.
