Today, the voice of Americans was heard.
The Tea Party U.S.A. is not a one day national event -- it's the continuation of a chain of events and activism that will strengthen our country.
We are doing this primarily without main-stream media coverage.
That's o.k.
Your voice is being heard without the main-stream media.
Keep it up my fellow, patriotic Americans.

4,500 Attend Olympia Tea Party
Seattle Weekly ^ | 4/15/09 | Don Ward
Posted on April 15, 2009 7:26:40 PM PDT by pissant
The Tea Party in Olympia has just broken up. Slated as one of the biggest in the state, the event lived up to its billing. The Washington State Patrol estimates that between 4,000 and 5,000 people packed the Capitol Campus, covering the Capitol steps and spilling out onto the lawn and nearby streets.
Evergreen Freedom Foundation spokesperson Scott St. Clair said the event had a festive atmosphere, much like it was a public holiday.
“We had no idea so many would come out,” St. Clair said over the phone. “There were hundreds of signs - some of them pretty witty - kids, old people, families. It was kind of like a political convention with signs from this city and that across the state. This is the people taking back their government.”
EFF sponsored the “No Tax - Push Back” rally in conjunction with the BIAW, Lakewood Chamber of Commerce and other organizations. However, the event was transformed thanks to the nationwide Tea Party movement.
A spokesman for the State Patrol’s campus office, Sgt. Ted DeHart, said the event was orderly and festive with “no hints of trouble”. He also did not see anything in the way of counter-protestors in the crowd.

SAN ANTONIO — They’re calling them Tea Party protests and they’re going on all across the country. But San Antonios is expected to be one of the biggest and thousands of people attended. Its all to send a message they hope will be heard. Those here want their message to be loud and clear and they expressed it in many ways.
Although the event Website asked that no one bring signs there were plenty of them.

Just got back from the 5pm San Jose Tea Party. It was great. There were thousands of people there!!! The one thing that impressed me was that people driving around where the protest was were all honking in support of the protestors. I have pictures, but need my hubby’s help to post them.
I can’t believe that the protest was that successful in the liberal Bay Area!!!!!

Great turn out for the Roanoke Virginia Tea Party!
I attended with my son and we truely enjoyed it.
Like one of the speakers said we partied like it was
1773. Someone here said we had 500 to 750 people. I
thinking a few more than that.
I hope Washington is listening.

2500 Right Wing Extremists Attend Mount Juliet, TN Tea Party
4/15/09 | Self
Posted on April 15, 2009 7:50:08 PM PDT by Blood of Tyrants
About 2500 people braved the cold, cloudy evening and horrible traffic to attend the Tax Day Tea Party held at Charlie Daniels Park in Mount Juliet, Tennessee. Signs were varied but all conveyed the message that the people are sick of politicians who spend as if there is no end to our money.
Speakers included TN state Rep Susan Lynn, TN state Senator Mae Beavers, Bibbie Patray from The Eagle Forum, Gen. David Evans (ret) whi is running against long time house representative Bart Gordon, and several others. Gen. Evans fired up the crowd with his speech about returning the government to a CONSTITUTIONAL government.
Local news will probably say that only about 500 were in attendance, but the cameras only showed up after the crowd began to thin because of the cold.
Did anyone send Tim Geitner a reminder that taxes are due today?

Portland, Oregon Tea Party
Vanity | 4/15/2009 | Vanity
Posted on April 15, 2009 7:51:09 PM PDT by Aria
Just got back from the Portland Tea Party that was in Pioneer Courthouse Square. There were lots of enthusiastic people there with pretty good signs. Lots of We the People signs, complaints about spending, anti-socialism, and some Ron Paul supporters. One sign I liked was carried by a teenager or twenty something that said Party Like It’s 1775.
I’m not good as estimating numbers but it was more than a thousand. You have to remember this is formerly conservative and now liberal looney Portland, Oregon so I thought the turn-out was pretty good.
My camera broke so unfortunately I don’t have photos. Hopefully another Oregon Freeper will post some. All in all a great showing!!!

After Action Report For Santa Barbara

We had a crowd of at least 300 at Alameda Park in Santa Barbara at our Tax Day Tea Party. We featured Classic Rock Protest Music and had spontaneous remarks from various folks in attendance. There was no media there initially but we got so large the media started showing up. We rallied, then marched to the IRS office and engaged in original rants.
We then took our march down State Street where we were greeted in a universally positive manner from the folks on the street and those driving by. Lots of honking and thumbs up. The Silent Majority is alive and well. I feel so wonderful right now. This is one of the best days of my life and I have had a great life.

Orange County, NC Tea Party After Action Report
15 April 2009 | TQC
Posted on April 15, 2009 7:53:29 PM PDT by Titus Quinctius Cincinnatus
The Tea Party in Hillsborough was awesome tonight!
The weather cooperated. It initially looked like we might get some rain, but it held off until after the Party was over.
The estimation of crowd size is at least 500. Pretty good for a county which went for Obama 72%-27%, and for having only really planned for about two weeks (some TPs were nearly two months in planning). There was a lot of excitement, and standing room only on the grounds of the old Courthouse there in Hillsborough. We have originally thought we’d only have 200-250, but those numbers were quite obviously blown away.
People started showing up around 4:00 PM due to a mix up with the information that the national Tax Day Tea Party had posted. I had sent in the correct information (5:30-6:30), but it took them over a week to update it, which resulted in some confusion. Nevertheless, folks who showed up started mingling and carrying signs and were working the through traffic (courthouse is located right in downtown Hillsborough - prime traffic time, too). LOTS of people driving by were honking, many of them quite vigourously. I was surprised by the number of blacks and young people who honked and gave thumbs up, etc. - two demographics who supposedly have completely drank the Obama koolaid....maybe the magic’s starting to wear off, even for them?
Only had a couple of lefties driving by who shouted or challenged us. I heard (but didn’t see) that somebody flipped off some of our protestors, but all in all, the lefties (and we know they were there and driving by) seemed pretty cowed and subdued by our presence.
Had several speakers who addressed the crowd. Ben Lloyd (registered Democrat, but conservative), a former Orange Co. commissioner, spoke first, followed by yours truly, then Karen Pollock, a local businesswoman spoke. Bill Knight, the Orange Co. GOP chairman, gave a folksy yet rousing speech, and then the keynote speaker, Tom Fetzer (conservative former mayor of Raleigh) gave an EXCELLENT, bang up speech about how we need to be willing to sacrifice and work if we want to get our freedom’s back (something the whiny, third-party loving ego-tripping runaways here on Free Republic could stand to have heard).
The event culminated with nearly all 500+ people in attendance dumping out bottles of tea onto the grounds of the courthouse (good thing it rained after the Party).
Overall, lots of excitement, and a general sense that this Tea Party can’t be where it ends, but that we have to keep fighting, keep networking, and keep putting pressure on the politicians every chance and every way we get.
TQC out.

As a rock aficionado, U.S. Representative Thaddeus G. McCotter (MI-11) might appreciate our reliance on a bootlegged transcript of remarks he’s delivering at today’s Tea Party rally at Kellog Park in Plymouth, Michigan:
From the G-20 summit in England to factories in France to the streets of our nation, we live amid a chaotic age. Thus, we peaceably assemble to stop the chaos and its consequences.

Coeur d’Alene, Idaho Tea Party (North Idaho)
Personal observations | April 15, 2009 | me
Posted on April 15, 2009 8:10:42 PM PDT by RobinOfKingston
Just got back from the North Idaho Tea Party. GREAT GATHERING! The crowd was All-American - young and old, boys and girls, men and women, fat, skinny and in between.
We met on the North Shore of Coeur d’Alene Lake. Right in the middle of town. I am sure the crowd was over 1,000 people. Very lively, but typically well behaved.
TV crews from two local stations were there. Local for us is Spokane, WA.
Great speakers. One young man named Brock [10 years old] stole the show with Patrick Henry’s “Give me Liberty or Give me Death” speech. He did it from the heart and from memory. No teleprompter!!
There were two other youngsters who had presentations of their own composition, a speech and a poem set to music.
I met a guy named “Bob” who thinks we will be nuked within a year.
The crowd probably had people from all five northern counties.

Yuma, Arizona Tea Party

I attended the Colorado River Tea Party this evening in Yuma, Arizona. I took off from work for a couple of hours so I was able to get there a little early. By 5 pm, there were about 500 people there. I had counted 400 before 5 pm, then counted people as they arrived. At a little after 5:30 we had a bit over 1100 people. This is a pretty good sized crowd for Yuma after the snowbird season. I met a number of people that I knew from my association with local politics, but most of them were new folks who did not like the way the country was going.
If there was a common theme, it was respect and restore the Constituion, we have been ignoring it and twisting it beyond recognition for too long!
