Today, the voice of Americans was heard.
The Tea Party U.S.A. is not a one day national event -- it's the continuation of a chain of events and activism that will strengthen our country.
We are doing this primarily without main-stream media coverage.
That's o.k.
Your voice is being heard without the main-stream media.
Keep it up my fellow, patriotic Americans.
Thanks to a special emailer for pointing to this tea party:

I started out April 15, 2009, in prayer for Gods protection and for the success of the Tax Day Rochester Tea Party. Wow, did God ever answer my prayers tenfold!
We were blessed with a beautiful, rain-free, sunny day with temperatures in the low 50s. Thats pretty good weather for Rochester this time of year and did we get a turnout of citizen patriots, beyond mine and Eriks wildest dreams!

Washington, DC, Great Tea Party!

Rain Didnt Dampen Washington, DC Tea Party
Arriving in a steady drizzle at 1030 am, there was already a sizeable crowd in Lafayette Park across from the White House. The crowd continued to grow in size even as the rain increased. My unofficial estimate is that there were some where between 3,000 to 3,500 participants.
Washington DC Tea Party
This crowd was a lot of fun to be with. A surprising number were from out of state, such as Oregon, Arkansas, Ohio, NJ, NY and Pennsylvania in addition to Maryland and Virginia. Many of the signs were handmade (unlike those at protests by the left who carry signs which are mass-produced and paid for by Moveon.org.). The program was robust with good speakers, the crowd saying the Pledge of Allegiance and singing the National Anthem. It was easy to talk with strangers and we all have a lot in common. We care deeply about our country and how precious it is. No one spoke political party, just the importance of having responsible elected officials. And of course a few Freepers were in attendance.
Instigaters
Code Pink showed with Medea Benjamin leading two of her flock. They stayed only a little while and then left to a few pointed comments. One minor disturbance in front of the stage. Two college age young men in tuxedos and two college age women in gowns caused a disruption and left after a few minutes.

A lot of signs are featured in hope readers here will find a message they can replicate at future rallies.
Note the Media which seemed to be everywhere whether they report remains to be seen. And note the large number of children who attended with their parents..

Anti-tax rally draws a raucous crowd (Jacksonville, FL)

Some of the signs presented punchy phrases like boot the bankers.
Then there was the play on words: Give me liberty, not debt. Another was part revolutionary, part pop song: Gonna party like its 1773.
The placards protruded from a bulky crowd gathered Wednesday at The Jacksonville Landing to shout theyd had enough with the way the government handles money.

“Size Of San Francisco Tea Party Protest Shows Obama’s In Hot Water”
SNIPPET: “April 15, 2009 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - Despite a concerted effort by the MSM to ignore and or belittle the burgeoning conservative Tea Party movement, on this bright April tax day at least 1,200 citizens showed up in the belly of the beast, San Francisco, to protest the Obama administration.
Led by a citizen coalition including KSFO firebrand talker Melanie Morgan, the group assembled in front of Civic Center and then marched on Speaker Pelosi’s office at 450 Golden Gate Avenue.”

RICHMOND VA TEA PARTY/Vanity

Just in from the Richmond Tea Party. A big crowd (somewhere in the thousands, total?) gathered under dark skies and a light rain fell but did not dampen spirits....so many people I couldn’t get close enough to even see the speakers. Tried to get a Tea Party bumper sticker but they were SOLD OUT. Diversity and transparency....hmmmm....it was evident that society was well represented at all levels....there were swarms of kids, young people, business people, students, housewives, retired people, foreign people, white, brown and black people, short tall fat skinny young old gray ugly pretty you name it....no less than four mounted police on horses and other policeman hung together while monitoring the crowd. All three stations were covering the event. LOTS of signs, particularly liked the kid holding one that proclaimed CORK THE PORK and also the giant pitchfork with tattered oversized dollar bills hanging from the tins. Oh, and overheard James Monroe introducing himself to a lady while George Washington looked on - George, standing head and shoulders above everyone, was beautifully dressed in a dark blue cape, boots and breeches, powdered wig and curls, every inch a leader; and Monroe, quiet spoken and also well dressed in knee hose, buckled shoes, tricorn hat and a dark long jacket.....sheesh, those costumes did something to me....at one point the crowd began chanting THOW HIM OUT and messages on signs touched every topic....Fed Reserve, Taxes, Bailout, Big Government, Socialism, Healthcare, Term Limits....all in all a well behaved crowd...with a lot of messages for Washington.

Boisterous Ventura tax protestors are ‘Tea’d Off’
In Ventura, more than 1,000 people gathered under blue skies to vent wide-ranging concerns, from over-taxation and government spending to condemnation of a recent Homeland Security report tracking a rise in violence among right-wing groups.
Holding signs such as “Abolish the Federal Reserve,” and “We are Obummed Out, Stop Spending, No More Taxes,” the crowd was in a celebratory mood, loudly applauding each speaker and cheering as a small plane droned overhead pulling a banner that said “Im Tead Off!!”

Great turn out for the Roanoke Virginia Tea Party!
I attended with my son and we truely enjoyed it.
Like one of the speakers said we partied like it was
1773. Someone here said we had 500 to 750 people. I
thinking a few more than that.
I hope Washington is listening.

More than 1,200 protesters crammed the corners of Seventh Avenue and C Street in Anchorage today as part of a national Tax Day Tea Party organized by a coalition of conservative groups.
“(This is) the first time I’ve ever been to a protest in my entire life,” said 45-year-old fitness instructor Amy Brun, who says the federal government should let the free market save the economy rather than going deeper in debt in an attempt to spur recovery.
“I don’t want any more bailouts,” she said. “I didn’t want the one Bush imposed, I didn’t want the one Obama imposed. ... I really think something like that should have been brought to the people.”

Fort Worth Tax Day Tea Party

Here are some pictures of the Fort Worth Tea Party at LaGrave Field. Pretty good turnout for hardly any advertising. I am not that good at estimating crowds, but I would say at least a 1000 or more people?
We even left a little early and people were still showing up.
The crowd was cheering and enthusiastic, well behaved and orderly.
Not much, if any sign of the media, besides what appeared to be a news helicopter flying overhead, but I am not sure.
