Today, the voice of Americans was heard.
The Tea Party U.S.A. is not a one day national event -- it's the continuation of a chain of events and activism that will strengthen our country.
We are doing this primarily without main-stream media coverage.
That's o.k.
Your voice is being heard without the main-stream media.
Keep it up my fellow, patriotic Americans.

About 2000 people showed up at this tea party event.
Since Rep. Ron Paul was speaking, there was a large contingent of Paulbots there. But I did see a lot of McCain-Palin bumperstickers on cars there too. Wide variety of people there.
Also note that nearby Houston had attracted 5000+ people and even closer Pearland had a good turn out too. And Galveston had a fair turnout, considering it is still recovering from hurricane Ike. Apparently very close by Kemah also had a small tea party. All of these events were going on simultaneously, so people just went to which ever one was closer.
Also note that this is less than a mile from the NASA Johnson Space Center, where a lot of Federal funds employ a lot of people in this area, directly or in businesses benefiting from a those high income jobs. I am sure a lot of people didn’t show up out of fear of getting spotted, thus risking their job. Not to mention the high level of Democrat transplants working there.

Not Something We Do?

The Tax Day Tea Parties may have been a surprise to some conservatives, but the groundwell is very real.
A few months ago, as bailouts were booming and budgets were busting, I wondered how long it would take for conservatives to actively respond. Outside of the world of talk radio and opinion columns, I felt the American public needed a voice, a venue, and a vindication for the debt-multiplying and partisan-flaunting policies imposed upon us by our new president. To my dismay, however, my questions were largely ignored.
As one conservative colleague told me, protesting is “not something we do.”
But yesterday I was never so happy to see a conservative proven wrong.
At the Tax Day Tea Party in Phoenix, thousands of protesters congregated on the lawn of the State Capitol. And as the event kicked off, humor played an important role in setting an energetic tone. Former Arizona Congressman J.D. Hayworth announced, “It’s strange to see this many employed protesters.” Noting the 5:30 p.m. start, one sign read, “I protest at night because I work during the day!” A mock teleprompter garnered laughs, as did a sign that read, “See what happens when you give a Junior Senator a credit card!”
But while smiles were on the mouths of Phoenix residents Wednesday night, frustration was in their eyes.
Their purposes varied, but their passions shone brightly. Many were outraged at the excessive spending on government programs, some detested the bank and business bailouts, and others simply proclaimed their love for liberty.
A concern for our nation’s children also weighed heavily for many in the crowd. “I’m here for my children,” a man with three young ones told me. “They don’t deserve to be in debt from the failure of others.

I’ve listened to this speech and also read the hard copy of it. It would be wise if our elected representatives in Congress did the same. This message is being echoed across our country without the help of the Main Stream Media. Out of this mess that our Country finds itself in, has now emerged the actual TAXPAYER to voice his anger and frustration at the socialist turn our government is taking. This week we find we are now being labeled “Terrorists” by our own government for meeting peacefully to voice our American ‘right’ to speak our opinions. In the past six months our government has and is taking control of our banks, our industry and now considering buying into our news media in order to salvage a product that no one is buying anymore because they no longer report the news, they just editorialize it to promote their own agenda (I believe thats called Propaganda). The media who are still actually reporting the news seem to be thriving.
I remember as a youngster in the 1960’s fearing the “mushroom cloud” that might one day wipe us out with a terrible death as a result of the USSR dropping the A-bomb. My fear today is just as great with the knowledge that our present government seeks to hold the final word in every aspect of the way we live by legislating rules, regulations and taxes on EVERY aspect of our daily life. We are no longer the “Land of the free”, but with speech makers across our land like the one in this video, we may yet be “the home of the brave”.
I urge every American to start looking for the next Congress Man or Woman to take the place of the incompetent ones that are in power now. Learn the names and the records of those in Congress who are not fulfilling their Oath of Office to support and defend our Constitution. Follow the example of this speech maker in Washington, MO and broadcast their names and their inadequacy in the Public Squares. This is not just our fight for our freedoms of today, but it is also what we need to accomplish so that our children and grandchildren can know the life we should all enjoy as Americans.

Melbourne,Florida - Wickham Park Tea Party Rally (3,000 Expected)
Brevard Tea Party ^ | 4-18-2009
Posted on April 18, 2009 11:04:50 AM PDT by My Favorite Headache
The Brevard Tea Party will take place Sunday, April 19th from 1-4pm at the main event pavilion at Wickham Park next to Brevard Community College. We have confirmed US Congressman Bill Posey, watchdog Clerk of Courts Scott Ellis, political pundit Chris Ingram and local entertainer Mark Vance as guest speakers.
One of the goals of the event is to harness the energy and get folks plugged in to organizations that will help to make a difference now and when the 2010 mid terms roll around. To this end we are offering tables for local clubs and organizations are available at a cost of $100 each. Proceeds will be used to offset the rapidly escalating costs of the event. Please call Matt at 321-626-9791 to reserve a spot for your organization.
We have also learned that, by pure coincidence, we scheduled the Tea Party the same day the Moving Wall Veterans Memorial will be set up at the Southern part of Wickham Park. I have been in touch with one of the organizers of that event and it sounds like our timelines are in near perfect harmony. It will be an honor and a privilege to pay homage to the brave souls that have given their lives to defend our freedom at the Tea Party.
Sunday begins six days of inconvenience for travelers of the Pineda Causeway Extension, who use the roadway to go from beachside to Wickham Road.
The causeway extension will be closed at the Florida East Coast Railway crossing, so the roadbed can be improved at the tracks. That closure, however, could cause a massive inconvenience right after it happens at 7 a.m. Sunday. About 10 a.m., some 800 to 1,000 motorcyclists will escort the Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall from Brevard Community College’s Cocoa campus to Wickham Park in Melbourne, where the 296-foot wall will be assembled. The traffic snarl caused by the delivery of the Memorial Wall will be made worse because the railroad tracks will block the Pineda Causeway Extension between U.S. 1 and Wickham Road. Organizers estimate the procession will take 20 to 30 minutes to clear the Pineda interchange. “That one’s hard to judge,” motorcycle procession organizer Greg Welsh said. “We’ve had a lot of motorcycle groups say they’re coming. The weather’s supposed to be good.” The annual escort of the Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall is a prelude to one of the largest veterans’ reunions in the nation. The three-fifths-scale replica of the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, D.C., will go on a weeklong display at Wickham Park, where the Vietnam and All Veterans Reunion officially kicks off Thursday, bringing in as many as 100,000 veterans and their families. After leaving the Brevard Community College’s Cocoa campus at 10 a.m., the traveling wall goes down Clearlake Road, State Road 520, U.S. 1 and Parkway Drive to Wickham Park, where the 296-foot wall will be assembled. The opening ceremony and placing of wreaths will be at 6 p.m. Monday.

“Million Taxpayer March”
by Michelle Malkin
SNIPPET: “Let’s use liberal math to calculate attendance at this week’s nationwide Tax Day Tea Party protests. When left-wing activists make crowd estimates, the algorithm is: six figures = one million. An incomplete survey of newspaper accounts and organizer estimates pegged the Tea Party protest population at a minimum of 250,000. We can now, therefore, officially call it the Million Taxpayer March.
Or the Million Right-Wing Extremists March if you work for the Department of Homeland Security.”

In my little town of 12000, located in the communist haven of Westchester County, NY, we are holding an open meeting on 4/29 to set up a nominating committee to select three candidates to run in November to take control of the board. It was seized by dims four years ago, but the republicans were not much better. Spending has increased by 55 percent in a very short time and taxes by even more. All three candidates must agree to a simple platform, initially, 0+0=0. Zero salary, zero benefits-no medical and no pension which equals no tax increase. Current board members get 55k in salary and benefits per year for a part time job. Then they get We intend to cut spending by at least 25-30 percent within six months and fire our overpriced outside town attorney, terminate lifetime retiree health benefits, outsource the highway departmentwhich currently does a god awful job and institute a host of cost savings and transparency measures. Then its on to the school with a meat cleaver to the budget.
This is how we take back the town. With no salary and no benefits, no wants to stay around more than a term or two.
We may even run under the T-Party.

Melbourne, FL Tea Party After-Report
myself | 4-19-2009 | my favorite headache
Posted on April 19, 2009 2:38:08 PM PDT by My Favorite Headache
Just got back from the Melbourne Tea Party at Wickham Park. We had local radio covering the event and local Florida (Garbage) Today Newspaper and Hometown News.
ZERO BROADCAST TELEVISION OUTLETS THERE!
Security gave secure estimate of 2,000 at peak with 300 more trickling in after 2 hours. People began arriving around 11 am and stood along side Wickham Rd with various signs, a band played, local politicians were there giving speeches...Congressman Bill Posey ROCKED the house. His recent bout with cancer has not dampened him at all. He had some incredible backroom stories about the TARP and Bailout bills and the scams that were going on with them behind closed doors.
Good good stuff...
The organizers gave people who signed up at the event to speak a 30 second block to vent their feelings and frustrations.
9/11 Truthers were there...some confrontations...2 members of the Communist Party were there handing out flyers...I told one of them “If the times were rolled back..people like you would be thrown out of our country or put in prison as traitors”...a band played...some hired security was there guarding the stage...tons of signs and immigration became a big issue at one point as people finally are coming around to realizing that we are paying for all of the illegal immigrants to have health care, low income housing, food stamps etc...
Overall, a success...but considering the registered amount of Republicans in this county we should have had 50,000 people at the very least on a Sunday.
Get off the golf course and get to a tea party you dolts.
Next stop...Freeper Convention.
