Margaret Sanger is screaming on the coals, but that's another story...
We are in the third generation of history illiterates, thanks to our public school system, and that woman is my proof. There is, I kid you not, a Margaret Sanger "Clinic" in my home town (an abortion mill run by Planned Parenthood.) If you were to go into it and tell the Proud Liberal deskworker, "you know, the woman that your building honors was a militant racist that primarily wanted to stop black, Latino and Chinese people from out breeding white people" they would stand gape-mouthed and demand you leave.
My only consolation is that my daughter is at a magnet school where they are teaching actual American history, slanted only slightly...and I drill her with REAL history at home...
Bless my dad, he gave me a history book he had in high school, right around 1944, and you would be amazed what has changed (in the grand Soviet style of simply not reporting some events)...history back then was WESTERN history...all the other cultures were known to be inferior copies, the history of Christianity was full and prominent, and WWII had not yet been pre-chewed and altered. I usually gage how I feel about my daughter's history teachers by lending them this book and watching for the response.
