Man, she is AWESOME. No other word describes her. What a triumph!
Wow. Beautiful song, beautifully sung.
I wish they would have shown the judges comments. Does this video show it?
Delightful. Thanks for posting this dawn53.
Reminds me of the first time I heard Jim Neighbors sing, you don’t expect the vocal beauty and talent. I hope something wonderful comes from this for her.
The reminds me of another pearl that came out of that show. An average looking guy in a $39 suit that sold cell phones in a British Mall that walked on the stage and just blew them away will Opera. Remember him?
It was Paul Potts
Thanks for posting this! I enjoyed seeing the judges response.
If you can’t watch that whole video without tearing up just a bit you don’t have a heart.
Amazing and I wish her luck.
Elaine Paige indeed.
I can hear her just fine but for some reason my computer screen gets all blurry about halfway through. ;)
Thanks for posting this.
Incredible.
What a gift! As one of the judges said, it was a privilage just to listen to her.
Very impressive! It did make one tear up.
However, I found the sniggers and sneers of the judges, before she performed, to be rude and unprofessional.
Regardless of what they expected from her, a contestant deserves common courtesy up front.
I think the difference between “Britain’s Got Talent” and “American Idol” is that the performers on AI are, to a large degree, judged more on their looks and physical appearance and attributes than they are on their artistic talent.
I truly believe that neither Paul Potts nor Susan Boyle would have made it beyond the second or third round on AI, due mainly to their appearance (though for singing ability they are light years beyond most of the AI contestants).
It’s sad, really.
Speaking of sadness: “I Dreamed A Dream” is one of the saddest, most poignant songs in theatre. Susan Boyle’s performance of that song was flawless, and she brought out the poignancy like a true star. It was for me, listening to it and watching it, an eye-misting four minutes.
What a treat ala Paul Potts. For Les Miz fans, it was especially thrilling to hear this song.
There are many postings on You Tube now. Some have the full version, but only a few have the highest quality sound, which makes all the difference. I am still searching for the best full version with high quality sound to send the link to my e-mail list.
Bravo performance.
Well. I admit I have never watched American Idol. I will also say that Susan Boyle was incredibly inspiring. I also watched Paul Pots and started to tear up.....I guess it’s an age thing....;)
bttt - for those who missed it. In 2 days, these videos have received over 1 million views on YouTube. Fantastic!
I just saw this tonight, and quite frankly, I’m at a loss for words.
God-given. Stunning. Beautiful. Spectacular. Amazing.
What a gorgeous voice! God bless you, Susan!!!
This woman is simply amazing.
Anyone know if she was ever trained?
BTW, when I saw your post a day after you’d posted it, the watch count was 1,8000,000 ... today, just 2 days later, it’s 7,2000,000.
And this is not the only video of it on YouTube.
