This is a video of the carvings Marlin Miller is making along the Mississippi Coast. His work is stunning!
Marlin has asked me to be his photographer for a forthcoming book about his experiences and the impact his work has had on the locals.
This carving honors Col Lawrence Roberts, Tuskegee Airman and father of Robin Roberts

With the Popps Ferry bridge out, the carvings make my drive to and from work more bearable. My 9 year old son has been transfixed by the whole process. I can’t wait to share this with him. Congrats on the assignment, Islander7!

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to start a book or catalog of these fantastic works!!! I think it was a fantastic idea of the Biloxi Mayor (I believe) to start rebuilding something from nothing. These are beautiful and worth the trip all up and down the coast to see!!!
