I have just been reading that. Praise the Lord! I am so happy.
I also was right. Caligula was micromanaging this travesty and if he had not been involved the matter would have been settled DAYS ago.
Well, I slept right thru it,, and HGTV didn’t make an announcement about it.
I fed my guys shortly before noon and then hit the couch. I got a really great nap in,, but suppose I’ll pay for it at bedtime tonite.
The reports of the rescue are somewhat confusing. Some say the Captain jumped overboard again. Others just talk about the snipers.
I am so glad the meds are working. You have had a rough time of it. I’m suspecting your body is sleep deprived. You might not “pay for it” tonight. I hope not.
Don’t worry about sleeping through it. I did too. I’ve learned that if something isn’t happening in my immediate vicinity, I need to keep a regular routine. My hanging onto every detail as it happens doesn’t change one whit what is happening.
I’m playing catch up with the news now. From what I’m piecing together, the captain was tied up while the pod was being towed to calmer waters by the Bainbridge. At the same time one of the four pirates was negotiating on the Bainbridge about a resolution to the situation. Back on the life pod, Phillips was tied up and a gun was trained on him. Then, two of the three pirates exposed the upper half of their bodies outside of the life pod. Snipers on the fantail of the Bainbridge, determining that Phillips was in “extreme danger” took out all three pirates SIMULTANEOUSLY. The pirate on the Bainbridge was taken into immediate custody and the lifepod was boarded, Phillips untied and freed.
Caligula ordered the Captain of the Bainbridge not to use fire power unless Phillips was in “extreme danger.” That is why the situation took as long as it did for resolution.

Once again, Hussein uses the heroism of others to promote himself, A TRUE COWARD AND DESPISER OF THE MILITARY THAT HE USES, as if he single-handedly rescued Phillips.
I am home now. My heart is broken.

Two-thirds, there is a reason why you should ignore this stuff at family gatherings, and unnfortunately you discovered I was right.
Easter is the time of redemption and forgiveness. Just as you would forgive your sister if she had taken something from you, you have to let go of the politics and her vote when dealing with her. Remember, Jesus said while suffering on the cross, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.”
Call your sister and your parents and tell them you are sorry you lost your temper. Then don’t bring up politics again.
Trust me, this is what Christ demands of us. I live this, because of my daughter, my sister, and my brother. You will feel much better, and who knows...maybe your apology will make them think about how they have behaved.
You are right about politics and family and about forgiveness and apologies. Twice last fall I stepped in at conversations and bluntly said something like, “we’re not all supporters of the same party. We won’t discuss this at my dinner table.”
Those who know me dropped their jaws and were speechless at that. I’m one of the most vociferous against the opposition. But it did stop a potentially rancorous situation.

It was actually a great weekend. No, I left with my Mom apologizing privately to me for my SIL.
Oh, good. I suspect that there may be some background to the relationship of SIL w/ the rest of the family. I’m glad it was a great weekend. How long does it take you to get there?
Fantastic about the rescue! And we just spoke with my in-laws who report some very much needed rain is happening out where they are, so more fantastic news for me.

No, everyone thinks that it was just another political discussion. They all think it is over, and everyone has gone their way with their opinion none is the wiser. It's not important to them anyway. And I am seriously thinking of severing all ties (covertly by never going there when she is there except for family emergencies) that I possibly can with my sister in law. I have had it with these people. They have gotten this monster elected; he will have his boot on my neck and I fear for my life, let alone for my freedoms, at this monster's tyrannical reign. He is indestructable. He cannot be stopped by anyone except God. I am horribly discouraged about this monster destroying everything...I. Well, I have said enough.

Take heart, my brother. All is NOT lost. His vulnerability has shown only too clearly. Any credit he attempts to take for this heroic rescue will be seen as the actions of a coward. They can spin it all they want (and yes, I know the MSM will cover him). But the pictures of him bowing to a king and him and Hitlary sitting on the playground while this was going down doesn't play well. There are pictures! All spin is exposed now as just that - SPIN!
More than that, however, is the heroic action of our SEALS. They are saying that this wasn't hard for them, that those incredible shots simultaneously taking out the three pirates were "easy" and "routine" and "any of us could have done it." HA! That is understatement. But also, since they are not taking the glory, it will be heaped upon them. AND THEY DESERVE IT. It is also seen that Caligula was a drag on the entire rescue operation. If it had gone wrong, the Navy would have covered for him. They are professionals. But as the facts come out, Caligula is exposed.
So, while Caligula may try to say, "Me, too. I had a part in this," we know he is like a football fan saying, "Our team is the best! We beat Bama!" (except for this year) The fan had NOTHING to do with it.
Further, when we have military people like those SEALS, and EV, and yes, JemiansTerror, we can believe that the US will rise again.
Rain is good. Y’all may remember that I mentioned we were getting innundated with rain. That ended about 2 weeks ago. Now, it gets unbearably hot! I cook in the early morning and just heat things up later. It is too hot to move around much.
A happy medium is needed.
I figured.
I don’t do well in debate. It is later, as I hash things over, that I think of what I should have said.
