I am leaving Free Republic. After I post this message I will not come back and most likely ask the moderator to remove my account.
You may ask why. Today I posted a copy of a letter I received from an anti-terrorism officer in the United States Air Force. It was received through official channels but was not classified or top secret and I was granted permission to share it. It was an article concerning the possibility of a terrorist attack on American soil and it was pulled because, and I quote "Proven incorrect on snopes."
This is one time I am disagreeing with the moderator and his/her decision to pull the thread. This information was verified through official military channels and was supposed to help warn us to the imminent danger our country is in.
Instead, the moderator exercised, I felt, a lapse in judgment when he (or she) pulled the article that is in need of being disseminated. And this isn't the first time this has been done by moderators on Free Republic. While Free Republic has stood for conservative and GOP values it has also neglected it's responsibility to see that the information of the type I tried to share gets out. Instead they say it can't be verified and could be wild speculation (though I told them it was verified through official military channels) and pulled it even though I asked them not to.
So, I am saying goodbye. It was fun and I will treasure the friends I have made here on FR. Good luck to you all.

This should be a red flag with the left but they refuse to see ANYTHING wrong with the guy—even his many lies to them.
I don’t think that this is enough to GUARANTEE that an enemy won’t attack. In fact, an attack would likely increase his popularity not diminish it.
I have already predicted another “crisis”, not related to the economy, sometime before his first term is up. This is how he will win his second term.
He’s chatting up the world’s tyrants on his PRIVATE Blackberry. Which should not be allowed, by the way. The transparency was built-in just for this kind of POTUS. We get an anti-American POTUS and THEN we decide confidential communication is OK?
The world has succeeded in teaching Americans to hate themselves. How else does a rational human being explain all the absolutely insane things we are currently doing?

If Rush Limbaugh were a FReeper (I suspect he probably is under some pseudonym) he’d no doubt suggest something like - rather than expect the world to be the way you want it to be, do what is needed to make it the way you think it could be better.
IMHO you should send a big FReepathon donation, then apply to JR for a Mod position. They’ve got a tough job, and they do it pretty darn well.

I’ve gotten mad at the mods myself a time or two. One time i toyed with the idea of using the screen name “moderatorator” or maybe “moderatormoderator”, and then stalk the mods and heckle everything they post.
