There are people who like hockey (personally, I think it is to see the fights), and people who like NASCAR -(I’m one - and my adrenaline goes sky high, when there is an ‘incident’ on the track.)
To each his own, I guess - but adrenaline probably plays a role.
Baseball is the perfect game. 9 guys, each playing his position alone, yet his play affects his team mates. No other game is like it. It is the perfect game, and the NY Mets are the perfect team, even though they haven’t realized it yet.
Then they are going to be severely disappointed when they actually attend a game. There just aren't that many "fights". Two playes can be penalized for "fighting" without a punch being thrown. I saw a poll where people who don't watch hockey believed that fighting occurs about 4 times more often than it actuall does. They are influenced by ESPN highlights.
