Welcome to the (I guess) official thread to the 73rd playing of the Masters Golf Tournament from the Augusta National Golf Club. Now the game that we love and it's season is now officially, let's see who will be walking the 18th fairway ready to slip the coveted green jacket on late Sunday afternoon.
We all know who's in the field. While I'm posting this thread early, we can discuss and predict who's going to win.

It’s such a crapshoot.. but, I think Justin Rose and Jim Furyk could make some noise this week too.. At least, I hope so.
That makes a lot of us!! A Shark win equals or maybe exceeds Jack’s ‘86 win, the standard by which everyone still tries to match.
Ben Crenshaw’s ‘95 win for Harvey Penick comes close.....

Here’s another longshot, Angel Cabrera. Talk about flying under the radar, I can’t imagine anyone would think he could win. But why not?
I picked Jim Furyk to win the ‘03 Open before it was played as part of the sports stations contest. Unfortunately for me, so did one other person whoo ended up getting about a thousand dollar prize package. I got to take 4 friends to one of the nicer tracks in the area for a round with some of the personalities.

NHL——not till the playoffs start.
NBA——the CAVS are playing Boston here Sunday. If someone offered me free tickets I’d pass, unless they are floor seats. I won’t even watch the game on ABC, Except maybe during 1 of the 2 breaks each hour.....

I guess Golf Channel is going all out with SIX HOURS of Live From on Thursday and Friday before ESPN coverage and a couple hours more Saturday and Sunday before CBS coverage.

No way could anyone get quality work in those conditions. It will be entirely diffetent come Thursday.

The highlight of the day was when Vijay Singh skipped his shot across the pond on 16. It skipped once on the water, then onto the green and rolled slowly toward the hole. It sat on the edge of the cup, eerily similar to Tiger’s shot in 2005, and dropped into the hole for a hole-in-one. I’ve seen several aces, but nothing like that. The crowd went nuts!
Seems like the “kid” is playing pretty good at this level isn’t he???

Nice analysis Bay, I used to wish I could be Hugh Hefner for a day...but now, I’d rather be Tiger Woods for a day...get up, play, then play golf, play some more, then play another 18 holes, have dinner, play...
