North Korea failed in its attempt to get a satellite into space after a rocket launch early on Sunday, US and South Korean officials say.
Two stages of the rocket and its payload landed in the Pacific Ocean, a US military statement said.
Hours earlier North Korea claimed the satellite had successfully been put into orbit and was transmitting data.

Waiting patently for a response from Gore on how this failed venture has added to the global warming of the ocean.

Half paying attention, heard the opinion on FoxNews this morning that the launch was an absolute success because it was really a trade-show for Iran ... proof that NK could launch a missile, and now Iran may want to purchase for their nukes.
Also, speculation that NK was allowed to do this because China wanted them to, that NK is China puppet, and that China has been poking at us around the world to see what we're made of.
I swear, it's all too much.

"Stage one of the missile fell into the Sea of Japan/East Sea. The remaining stages along with the payload itself landed in the Pacific Ocean."
I wonder if we were prepared for this ? and have boats in the area to try and recover any of it ?

And up to this point, the news media was full of hysteria.
If it isnt one thing, its another to keep everybody off balance.
Woof! Woof! Woof!

Is this a derivative of the No Dong missile?

“Glug, glug, glug” was all it was heard to say.
It's really a cleaver place to hide a spy satellite.

You’re right. It didn’t fail (unless it hit the ocean well short of it’s intended range). It never was a satellite. It’s a missile. I would have been happier if it got about 1,000 feet off the launchpad and disintigrated.

It did not fail. It was designed to test the 0 and he came up lacking. Iran is pleased as are the Russians. The Chi-coms are smiling and will be dumping US bonds on the market for the next week driving the dollar down and oil up.

I wonder if we were prepared for this ? and have boats in the area to try and recover any of it ? Would you get on a boat built in North Korea?
To: JoeProBono
I’m going to continue to pray their launches fail miserably.

Once again the media is spittling the processed effluent of the Axelrod machine. If N.Korea sells this missle to our Islamic insane enemies, putting sattelites into orbit is not what they will use it for. Detonating an EMP over America IS what they will be aiming for and the staged rocket showed success for that use.
