In previous seasons, we've gotten a major death, a biological attack, Jack faking his own death, being kidnapped by the Chinese and plain ol' pontificating.
But how will season seven of "24" click to a close? "The most I can tell you is that it is not going to end because someone cuts two wires and the clock on the bomb stops," Kiefer recently revealed.

would anyone watch “24” without Jack Bauer?....
I’d like to say no. But 007 films are still being produced without Sean Connery.
They wouldn’t kill off Jack. Hey...how about a spinoff called “Chloe 24 - Rage of the Ubernerd”
He’s already announced he’s on for next season.
Jack Bauer is “24”. Without him, I’m gone. Since it is only 24 hours per season, I expect the season to end with him still being infected with the virus and leaving us to wait until next season to see how it turns out. The way things are going in America lately, we’ll probably see some “inner city” public school kid working on an antidote but cannot finish the research in chem lab because the school is being closed down due to Republican budget cuts.
When Jack got exposed to that incurable disease I knew this was the last season. It has to be. Any way the producers try to spin Jack our of it would look horribly contrived. And no, 24 is not 24 without Jack Bauer. His new sidekick, “Michelle Walker” would make a great CTU agent, but it won’t be “24”. I’m speculating Tony Almeda and Walker will take over for Jack next season.
Unless he falls off the wagon and back into the slammer again....
My guess is that Starkwood developed a vaccine and Jack will find it.
I’ve been a fan of the show, but what seems to me to be a leftist tilt, evidenced by the presence of that scuz Janine Garafalo, the “Climate Change” PSA’s by the cast, and the transparent vilification of Blackwater this season has really rubbed me wrong way. I’ll finish the season out of curiosity, but I think I’m done with it.
But isn’t that the point? They’re still making 007’s but they are not anywhere near what they were w/Connery. No one has been able to replicate that Bond. No one would be able to replicate this Bauer.
Your statement makes no sense. In order for it to make sense folks would have to be watching “007” films that have no James Bond. After all, Jack Bauer is a character while Sean Connery is an actor.
And to answer that. There is no “24” without Jack Bauer and there is no “007” without James Bond.
It’s a tough call but I think it could be. I’m certain there are a few potential agents on the ground in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, etc. He/she may not be an alumnae of CTU specifically though.
If you are old enough to recall the old NBC Sunday Night Mystery series, a different detective every week. There is enough fertile ground in today’s world for plots and so forth.
Well there’s always that! LOL
Me think you be right.
Like Michelle being quarantined in the hotel with the “95% mortality rate” bioweapon, and she winds up being one of the 5? :)
“24” is built on cheese, but it is still entertaining nonetheless.
There was, is and always will be only one James Bond and that is Sean Connery. I didn’t even watch them. I had no interest in them or the other characters in the movies but...Sean Connery IS James Bond as Jack Bauer IS “24”
Amen! You got it.
Chloe’s hot.
I want to see a ‘24’ where Rush plays the President.
