I can add to the Andrew Jackson trivia. Every year, on the anniversary of the Battle of New Orleans, admission to the Hermitage, Jackson’s home, is free. So if you’re in the Nashville area in the middle of January, come on by. Tennessee’s treat.

I visited The Hermitage when I was a little kid and lived in Smyrna, TN. Of the two famous homes in TN I’ve visited, it’s much cooler than Graceland.

I have yet to go to Graceland and I’ve been here almost 15 years. I hear it’s beyond tacky.
