After the G20 wives wowed us with their style prowess yesterday, Michelle Obama and Sarah Brown appear to have stumbled in the glamour stakes with today's choice of clothing... Yesterday's dazzling J. Crew outfit may have won her praise from the hard-to-please fashion press - but the bizarre cardigan sported by Michelle Obama at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden today was rather less well-received. The First Lady kept her famous toned arms covered in the asymmetric creation by Japanese designer Junya Watanabe, which featured a garish argyle pattern and was embellished with yet more sequins. A far cry from her signature sleeveless shift dresses, Mrs Obama also wore a teal-coloured full-skirted prom dress by Jason Wu.

Calling them the Clampett’s is unfair to the Clampetts. They’re vulgarians.
It wouldn’t help. Someone needs to explain to Sarah, politely but very firmly, that she has gained weight, and therefore needs to adjust her wardrobe to reality. Of course, since she’s liberal, it’s entirely possible that even a visual aid such as this picture would make no impression on her image of herself.

Could Michelle’s sweater be pinned up the back to make it fit (even) more tightly? Wasn’t Barry’s suit coat pinned at the back on some occasion (the inaugural ball appearance, maybe)? Eeeek!
The sweaters are on the rack at Wal-mart for $12; I noticed today. In a couple of weeks, they’ll be marked down to $8!
What not to wear!
I have little sympathy for women who squeeze themselves into clothes that are way too small for them, and are then unhappy with photographers photos of their bulges and cellulite showing through in disgusting detail. Mrs. Brown looks awful from all directions in that outfit. She clearly outgrew it a good 30 pounds ago. I honestly can't imagine leaving the house in something that made me look like a sausage that's already begun to burst. What on earth was she thinking?

LOL! The argyle sweater is definitely mis-buttoned. Obviously, the woman doesn't have a full length mirror to dress herself. We should send her one. ;o)

I think that skirt of Michelle Obama’s is so poofy because she needs to hide her bat’leth under it. All good Klingons have a CCW permit for their bat’leth.

The sweater is too small and she should NEVER wear a skirt with that many pleats in it, makes her look really wide across the bottom.
