Dressed in a cream embellished cardigan and green gingham skirt, Michelle Obama practically shimmered in the early morning sunlight today as she and her husband arrived at 10 Downing Street.
The US First Lady, who has been hailed by the fashion press as a modern-day Jackie O, was not clad in high-end designer labels as one might expect someone of her position to wear. Instead, the glamorous 45-year-old opted for a spring-like ensemble from American high-street favourite J Crew.

I don’t have a problem with what Michelle is wearing. The photography is less than flattering for both her and Mrs. Brown.
What Michelle will decide to wear when she meets the Queen. This will be a tale-tale sign of her knowledge of what is proper and that of her advisors.
Navy hose and black shoes?!? OMG!
she’s obviously not wearing permanent press!
(caution: Wide Load)
Pass me the sick bucket...
Look, michelle Obama may or may not be stylish or fashionable. It really is immaterial. The question is what is going to happen at G20. If the only thing that comes out of it is “she looked shimmering” that is quite an inditement.
Listen MSM... this has to be said... MICELLE OBAMA IS NOT AN ATTRACTIVE WOMAN!!! Nor is she “stylish”, “graceful”, “elegant”...etc. So stop saying it. The very bitter and angry Mrs. Seotoro has the lumbering cloddish gait of an inner city thug, the stooped forward, insecure posture of someone well aware that she’s out of her depth, and a severe underbite...
Please stop telling us what to think about this witch.
Mrs. Brown's dress is spot-on for the season and the occasion, but it looks like she's gained a stone. It could do without the frill down the front, but that's just personal taste. I'm going to get a nursing dress very much like that one!
Yep - and that most of our co-workers don’t have the “fashion” resources that the obama chick has. The outfit, from top to toe, does not match and is inappropriate for the event. She looks like she came from Goodwill on her way to a picnic at a park.
Gingham? Good grief. I stopped wearing that in elementary school.

No. Stop. Don’t go there. Please...for the sake of our children unborn...
I don’t know what she’ll wear, but I’ll bet the Queen will get some really nice dvd’s...
It totally makes sense. And to think the article called her “glamorous”?
Too much spandex. And to think that the other day I read an article where she said she wears “pleats” to hide her wide hips!
So where are the pleats, Michelle??
Yeah, but next to Zebra print and green (sparkly!!!) gingham who will notice?
Evidently the Obama staff doesn’t own an iron! That skirt looks like a K-Mart clearance item!
OMG, sparklies during the day are gauche. Nothing goes together. I do like her shoes but not with that outfit.
maybe Puff DAddy’s newest release and Beyonce’s At Last on video?
Hi TC...I hope you are feeling well, and that all is going smoothly :)
Mrs. B’s dress could stand a little tailoring (LOL on the, ahem, stone)...but it is appropriate for someone of her position. Green (did ya hear it shimmers?!?!) gingham? For a State Appearance? Sigh.
And the sweater is too small. Why can’t the ‘fashion press’ note that? It shouldn’t even be buttoned.
Late Fall and Early Summer
You owe me a keyboard!
What will Michelle wear to London to visit the queen?
Well she wore the curtains to zerO’s swearing-in and she wore the drapes to the inaugural ball....what is left?
Perhaps something inspired by Carol Burnett’s “Went With the Wind?”
