Mrs. B’s dress could stand a little tailoring (LOL on the, ahem, stone)...but it is appropriate for someone of her position. Green (did ya hear it shimmers?!?!) gingham? For a State Appearance? Sigh.
And the sweater is too small. Why can’t the ‘fashion press’ note that? It shouldn’t even be buttoned.
I’m bigger every day! I go to The Salvation Army every couple of weeks to re-donate the frocks I’ve outgrown and pick up bigger ones ;-). For a while, I had a black and white gingham jumper; it did kind of shimmer - it was that high-gloss cotton-polyester blend.
The sweater is the real hoot in these pictures. What a bizarre woman! She must think that slouching makes her shorter, half-sleeves make her arms shorter, and too-tight clothes make her thinner.
Actually, a smart little jacket might have been nice.
