Wow I appreciate the answer. Having grownup watching Jules Bergman describe every Mercury thru Apollo launch televised, I’ve had a fondness for the space program. In the mid 60’s Nasa had a science show that came to my high school in Ashland, Ky, with a full sized Lunar Lander and other great displays. Looks like it is indeed an April Fools prank.
Car & Driver has now added “HAPPY APRIL FOOLS DAY” to the lead text of the story.
The Car of Tomorrow mandate turns them all into motorized Soap Boxes, anyway.
To quote another poster:
“Car and Driver gave NASCAR fans a gift — the experience of knowing what it is like to lose your freedom. These are the stakes that are in play right now.”
The Car and Driver site now states:
“HAPPY APRIL FOOLS’ DAY! THIS IS A JOKE. LIGHTEN UP, PEOPLE.”
HAPPY APRIL FOOLS' DAY! THIS IS A JOKE. LIGHTEN UP, PEOPLE.
