Joe, I commend you for having the sense to not post this in Breaking News. You’re head and shoulders above most other FReepers. May God have mercy on the cat.

I asked our Fire Commissioner whose first alarm he answered was the Hotel Vendome, if he ever found a cat skeleton in a tree. He said no.

Cut the tree down. The odds are in the cats favor of living through it, and the best thing is that it won’t go up in that tree again.

Hey idiot cat-owner: call a tree service. They have guys who climb trees for a living.

Tigger has been stuck high-up in a tree on Canton StreetWhy doesn't Tigger just bounce himself out?
I remember hearing that "bouncing is what Tiggers do best!"

I'm sorry, but this reminds me of those begging for help after getting themselves into trouble with their mortgages.
Cats are like liberals, they do what they want and expect us to bail them out when consequences loom.
Nobody enjoys watching the consequences. I hope the cat comes down so no humans have risk their lives to try and save it.

I recommend putting a big trampoline at the base of the tree in case Kitty falls asleep and loses its grip and comes down that way. Hopefully it will land on the trampoline.

I should also add that the tree service fellow could carefully prune the branch the cat is clinging too while it is secured by rope, then pull the branch in or lower it to the ground.
