Given what’s going on in our government, college basketball is of little consequence.

"Let them eat ca... er, watch basketball!"

” Write it down: UNC vs UConn for the NC. “

That’s my prediction as well . After today’s game many are saying that NC will beat UConn . I wouldn’t bet on it .

On an absolute scale, college basketball has always been of little consequence. Your point?

I actually want to see a Villanova versus Connecticut final. Villanova has been on a roll lately and if they can shut down Hasheem Thabeet, Villanova actually has a chance to win it all.

Boy, was I wrong about UNC. I didn’t think that with Lawson not being 100% that they would get this far, but this again is why I don’t make predictions.

How do you think the Heels are going to do?

I think Villanova will be tough, but I still like UNC. I like Jay wright, I would love to see him come to UNC after Roy steps down.

Pitt probably should have won, but they played horrible defense.

I think if UConn can stay focused, they will beat Michigan State.

The good thing is that UNC played at Ford field in the ACC-Big ten challenge.

I think Jay Wright is better. Also, Roy is still 592-138 (0.811)

Izzo always seems to get the best out of his teams. I think he is very underrated.

My prediction (and that of a lot of others, no doubt) at the start of the tournament was Connecticut vs. North Carolina for the championship, with Connecticut winning it. I’ll stick with that.

Given what's going on in our government and your pronouncement that we shouldn't take a little enjoyment in something like the Final Four, I do hope you are not watching television, reading any jokes that might make you smile, bathing, eating, or having any sort of carnal enjoyment....you know, since what's going on in the government supersedes any enjoyment in life.

We’ve gotten the players we’ve wanted, but they just haven’t panned out. Calethes, this year, in particular, was disappointing in many games this year. We’ve got a good class coming in, Erving Walker looks like a good player.

I am also disappointed in Eloy Vargas, when we got him, I was hoping he would be our next Joakim Noah.

Some more fun facts:

Every senior Tom Izzo has coached has been to a final four.

Michigan State has been to the final four 5 times since 1999- more than any other team.

The last time Michigan State were heavy underdogs was 2000- when the actually won the NCAA Championship.

HELL YEAH!!!!

Tom Izzo is a god in Michigan. I can't believe people think he'd go to Arizona or Kentucky to coach.

Bad grammar and spelling aside, yes. I see a lot of similarities in this year's team. Add to that, the Spartans will have home court advantage- 71,000 people screaming for them. I would give anything to be one of them.

Kalin Lucas is amazing. And Goran Suton really stepped it up. Tom Izzo told him in the game, 'if you don't shoot, you'll sit'. Once the Spartans started passing the ball, they took control of the game.

“Well, Barry got one team right, anyway.”

One more than I got. I had 3 Big East teams going - Pitt, Louisville, and Syracuse (along with Memphis.) My bracket was shot a long time ago, but I’m still pretty happy with the result. I’m a UConn fan who wrote them off one round too early - probably only one round too early, but when you get this far there’s always a shot.

That’s a hello of a big advantage - and they’ll need it .

A lot of folks wrote off the Huskies after Dyson’s injury . It took them until the tournament began to get Kemba Walker and Stanley Robinson to really step up bigtime and they have . If Thabeet stays out of foul trouble , you’ve got Price , Walker , Robinson , Austrie ( now out of slump ) , Adrien to handle the scoring ( it wouldn’t hurt if Hasheem could drop in 10 or so though ) . Sub Gavin Walker has also been playing quite well of late . Don’t worry .
