A friend of the daughter of Vice President Joseph Biden is attempting to hawk a videotape that he claims shows Ashley Biden snorting cocaine at a house party this month in Delaware.
An anonymous male "friend" of Biden took the video, said Thomas Dunlap, a lawyer representing the seller. Dunlap and another man claiming to be a lawyer showed The Post about 90 seconds of 43-minute tape, saying it was legally obtained and that Biden was aware she was being filmed. The Post refused to pay for the video.

A lot more people have smoked pot than done coke, but she seems to have a pattern of trouble with the law. Maybe it wasn’t just a phase for her (I know many people who did wild stuff while in HS or college and stopped completely). It is a personal tragedy and a national scandal if she gets treated differently than a Republican’s daughter would.

the only way I even begin to care about this (other than praying this young lady gets help if she is addicted) is if the VP pulls strings to keep her out of jail for a drug charge.
Otherwise its none of anyone's business.
I think its wrong that people went after Bristol Palin and I think its wrong some a$$wipe is trying to make a buck off of a kid snoring coke who just happens to have a Dad for a politician.
BTW I don't know about you guys but using the term "friend" for someone who is trying to shop a film of his "friend" doing coke is quite a Stretch.
Maybe people in politics have a different definition for the term "friend"

For the only time in my history, I kind of agree with HRC. It”s really a combination of price premium due to illegal nature of drugs and “Says Law”; “supply creates its own demand” (famous French economist—the only one). If you legalize drugs the price drops to almost zero and the cartels and drug gangs are out of business. The bad news is most of the uneducated US population will be stoned most of the time—if they are not already. Kind of “Lose-Lose” proposition.

Even if you "lebalized" or decriminalized drugs, especially cocaine here in the US, I don't think it would have much of an impact on the violence and crime in the producing countries. In fact, it may even make it worse.
The situation for the producers wouldn't change that much. They'd still be gunning it out for the best territories, distributorships and growing areas. Hell, gambling in some form of another has been legal in America since the turn of the century, or earlier. Did that stop the Mob from making Tens of billions in illegal gambling operation the last 100 years? Of course not.
I do agree with your last point - it's lose, lose. Although, I think it's probably lose bad, or lose really bad. JMHO

I followed the campaign pretty closely and I never heard anything about her being arrested for drugs or obstructing the peace. The daughter of a VP candidate with a drug arrest on her record? That’s pretty big news.
I heard 24/7 about another VP candidate’s daughter, but I think being arrested for drugs is a bigger deal than getting pregnant.
Either way, it ws certainly newsworthy, and it was never mentioned even once, let alone plastered nonstop.
It’s sickening. Ah well, too late now.
