Was he in Seals & Croft too?
All I remember was “I’m not talkin bout the linen....”
Too young.
What sad news. Aside from his work with John Ford Coley, his solo works were good, especially his westcoast aor sound from the early 80s.
Dang, that’s too bad.
Wow. Grew up listening to Seals and Croft and ED & JFC. Sad.
Wow. Really liked him, especially his song “Everything that glitters” I think that’s the name of it, real big hit.
He had some really good songs, both as England Dan and his later country career. “Everything That Glitters Is Not Gold” (mid-80’s, country) is one of the most haunting, heartrending songs I’ve ever heard. RIP.
Hello, yeah, it’s been a while.
Not much, how ‘bout you?
I’m not sure why I called,
I guess I really just wanted to talk to you.
And I was thinking maybe later on,
We could get together for a while.
It’s been such a long time,
And I really do miss your smile.
I’m not talking ‘bout moving in,
And I don’t want to change your life.
But there’s a warm wind blowing,
The stars are out, and I’d really love to see you tonight.
We could go walking through a windy park,
Or take a drive along the beach.
Or stay at home and watch t.v.
You see, it really doesn’t matter much to me.
I’m not talking ‘bout moving in,
And I don’t want to change your life.
But there’s a warm wind blowing,
The stars are out, and I’d really love to see you tonight.
I won’t ask for promises,
So you won’t have to lie.
We’ve both played that game before,
Say I love you, then say goodbye.
I’m not talking ‘bout moving in,
And I don’t want to change your life.
But there’s a warm wind blowing,
The stars are out, and I’d really love to see you tonight
There’s a warm blowin, the stars are out.
Oooops, not the Seals of Seals and Crofts.
I went to high school with Dan and John Coley. I don’t remember much about Dan... but for the music they made, he will be missed! RIP
My husband took me to a concert he did about 20 years ago. It was a small ballroom with about 200 people. It was an amazing concert...like he was just playing for a group of friends. The song, “You Still Move Me”, beautiful. If you have never heard it you should listen to it.
Dan Seals was a good man with a great voice. He will be missed.
Did he do a duet with Marie Osmond on “Meet Me In Montana”? That’s the one and only Country song that I can tolerate.

Sorry to hear abouth the death of Dan Seal’s.He and the group made some great music in the 1970’s. Its to bad you can’t say the same for the entertainers of the present.
RIP.
Does anyone here remember when Dan sang in a duo Seals & Loebuck?
